I think not, my misinformed friend. I quick forum search will show you who was the first to use it most regularly. I think you'll find a certain name keeps reappearing...

;)

Nghh, installed fine, I can see the thing there but a) gen_mirc.dll doesnt work, and my logikeys still dont work neither. I would rather not go back to wa2 cos of the media library too, it's rather spiffy.

Gakkkgh! Have you... have you even read the thread?

Yes, BUT.... once you have WMP9 on you can't specify mplayer2 as the default media player. Even if you associate no files with WMP9 and all of them with mplayer2... Videos continue to open with WMP9.
Now just... just leave me alone.

I despise you.

Just delete the WMP9 exe and then see it try to start. :p

Warning: This may go a bit Pete Tong in practise.

Tried that. I got an error message that said:
Code:
What are you doing, Dave?

Well I just got my lappy connected to the net through my cable modem (yay for ICS), and I'm not gonna get SP1 for this copy of XP. Yes it is a legit copy, but I think I'll wait until WMP9 is out of beta.

Allows you to use logitech/ms keyboard shortcut keys on WA3 (well, my MS inet keyboard works fine) and also install any other winamp 2.x plugins for winamp3.
Hello again! Um... I'm using Winamp 3, I have the Winamp 2 Plugin Manager as above... but I'm missing something.

Which plugin do I actually need to get my Logitech Internet keys working with Winamp 3? :/

Belay that order! As I'm using a Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard with the iTouch software, if found this thread sorted my problem.

In summary, for any other Logitech peeps who use iTouch and Winamp3, add this line to the end of the players.ini file in your iTouch installation folder:
Code:
Wa3=key,Studio.exe,BaseWindow_RootWnd,xxx,xxx,X,C,V,Z,B,0,1,WinAmp3
Sorted. :)

Doesn't WMP9 have DRM stuff in it that may give you problems with your legitimate backups ? :)

Just some vague memory of a rumour...

WMP9 crashes every time i start it, so i can't really say i've had chance to find out.
