windows live messenger problem

ok restarted my pc this mornin and am unable to login to live messenger

the window loads and then i go to type in username it does it really sluggishly and then when i go to type in password and sign in i get error code 800401f3
now ive scoured the net and all i can bloody find is fixes for xp and im running on vista 64 bit if anyone has encountered this error or knows of a fix for it would be much appreciated

tried system restore didnt work
tried reinstalling that didnt work either
tried a dll fix in command prompt but that was an xp fix so that didnt work either

are you sure the msn network wasnt down for 15 mins , and you have since buggered it up by fiddling ?

positive mabs done a complete uninstall reg keys the lot and reinstalled same prob tried in admin same prob just tryin a registry check utility i found see if that turns owt up really stumped

tried it didnt work i found a program that modifies your reg directory i turned user account control off while i ran it took bout an hour but it fixed it thank god thxs for the help anyway guys
