Windows in the Wall

Has anyone went to a cash point and seen a windows screen staring back at them? I only ask as today I saw it as I was going for some cash. Don't know if it was a bank error or somebody playing with it but it was strange either way. No short cut to BF1942 though so it wasn't worth the time.

That is worrysome. Teh other night in London I went for a slash in the nightclub and found myself suddenly on some tft viewscreen above the urinal(s), interspersed with trailers for upcoming films.

"Viewrinal" or something it was...can't see it taking off tbh.

Cambridge Train station runs the timetable screens on NT4.

The number of times you walk in and the screen is stuck on boot up defies belief

The machine next to my work, 9 out of 10 times has some Windows API error message. The machine works though, you just cant really see whats happening as there is an error/warning message in the way.

A lot of ATM's run on a Windows NT platform - the rest run on oddball O/S's like OS2.

If the ATM application crashes (as they sometimes do) you get a NT background.

They are no good for games tho as they have a really low spec like a ten year old pentium

Slightly off-topic, but the pub next to my house in Glasgow won awards for its urinals...It had a TV built in, and they played videos of politicians.

I always enjoyed taking a piss onto John Major's face.

This is off topic too, but most funn0r. Back when I was working in mags, our boss was the most famous and hated "celebrity" in the games industry. We all spent every night in the same pub, from 6 until closing time, as did he. One day someone had the genius idea of photocopying dozens of little round pictures of this guy's face and littering the urinals with them, which was hilarious, until he went in and found out...then it was even more hilarious.

Anyone guess who this was?
