windows deactivation

Ye olde MS magically deactivated my win 10 pro install while I was half way through a game. I had to reenter the code I had on my old physical media for win 7 pro, which I naturally first had to find ( ). Anyone else ever get this?

It's actually happened to me. Had a genuine version of Windows 7 installed, my PC is a bit iffy these days and crashes a lot, but one time it just decided I didn't have a legit copy and had to enter my product key again. Which naturally I've lost, along with my Windows 7 disc.
