I seem to remember having troubles with this before but never getting an answer as I found another solution. Well today I have to as its for a cyber cafe. The PC downstairs is W2k Pro. This has a laser printer attached to it. The windows 98 machines upstairs want to print to the printer but upon doing so it asks for a password. Any ideas on how I get it to not ask for a password?

They run cyber cafe software and dont want users to be typing passwords in all the time.

Done that doesnt work. It does work though if they dont click cancel at windows crappy login screen. Problem solved :)

Oh and you need a user/pass to match one of the users on the win2k machine.

net use LPT1 \\win2kcomputername\printerpassword /persistent:yes
