Win98 Networking

Could someone tell me how to network 2 Pcs with windows 98... ive got 2 pcs.. network card in each, i can connect the 2 with 1 cable.. but what are the network properties / settings etc...

my two bits: if you're using a coaxial cable don't forget to terminate both ends -or- if you're using tp, you'll prolly need a cross-cable to succesfully link two cards without a hub/switch

I personally have a HUB that use CAT 5 cable.

Yes mine too is a 10/100 Netgear jobbie.

used to have a netgear switch. they've got cool kit
now I use an 'officeconnect' 3com thingy. nice and small and quiet : my old switch made almost as much noise as my pc
