will aug RAs work even tho the stat is caped with items?

I have a really nice SC template wich caps my con, str and charisma. I'd like to go for the RA avoid pain but i need augmented constitution 2 first in order to get it.
Will my constitution still be +75 (caped) or will it go +75 (+12con from augmented constitution)?

If its still only +75 aug con will be a waste imo and im gonna have to reconfigure my template.

Look at it like this, when you buy an RA such as Aug Con it's like putting 6 extra points into that stat when you created your character.

Ie. Aug RAs adds to your "base" stat and therefore simply raises your total cap.
