I got mine today I likes it but I will reveal the terrible story of how I came to purchase my Wii:

I got home from work at 5:30am, went to sleep till 7:30. Woke up and had a little look around for my copy of the pre order receipt...which I didn't find. Got in the car and theres bloody traffic! WTH? People go to work today?!?!

Anyway, after brrrap'ing them I made it to the carpark walked towards GAME thinking about how I'd be told "NO, GO HOME" when I reached the till..got in the shop and saw all the other people had there slip, was ready to cry .

Got to the 1st in the queue when I realised the bird who served me was there, so naturally I was like "Yeah I bet she remembers me!" Didn't happen, I went to the bloke next to her..turns out he could look through the list of pre-orders, he spent 10mins looking through and couldn't see anything ;( then remembered they had some in a blue book! flicking through again and I pointed out just before he went passed my one woo it's mine! I'm so close!!!

Came to paying for the Wii and I needed to use my Visa, which I got the other day..I put in the pin code, pressed enter..invalid I'd not memorized the code and had put in my Electrons one ;/ One more try he said, so I asked if I could phone a friend ! I got my lifeline ;D ring home and ask for the pincode, batteries almost out...get on the phone Find my pin code for my new visa!!!!! the lights go out on the phone, I'm thinking it's dead..then the voice of an angel comes over! * * * * ! YEEAAAHHH phone dies, punch in the code and Kablamo!! I got my Wii ;D;D;D;D That was so intense!

rofl whenever im really excited about something and really looking foward to it something usually happens, i.e. my birthday i was looking foward to it sooo much i booked time off work, was all excited, an hour before my last shift finished (this was when i was on nights) i started feeling hot and sore throaty, got home thought hmm pre emptive strike time made some get well fast brekkie went to bed and when i woke up i was soooo ill (the only time ive been ill this year lol) i was ill for the whole week, spent my birthday in bed, bf was splendid though made me soup and birthday cake for afters ah well, it was still nice because i got to be taken care of but different than how i hoped.

so hows your wii mate is it good?

They are still a generation or 2 away from making me want it for the motion sensitive thing.
Once they get it down, so i can use it for reaction training and a substitute for shadowboxing, i'll get it.
Although it looks fun, it's alittle fixed and sluggish still.

Sure.

I've been playing Zelda: The Twilight Princess for the last couple of hours, and it fucking r0x!

The way the controller is designed, it makes you feel like you're in the game (or more so, actually swinging a sword). I never want to go back to the old controllers

Nope, I was going to get it but after reading IGN review I decided not too. Apparantley it's a huge letdown when it comes to the controls and doesn't take advantage of the Wii's controller.

I got Red Steel, and its quite decent really. But the controls are way way off. You get some crazy spasms while waving your gun around. But it definitely is a milestone. They will be able to make some amazing FPS games to take real advantage of the wii-mote and nunchuk.

Anyway, back to Red Steel, its got a lack of a good story, but makes up for it cos it works. Cheezy, but decent. The GFX are actually quite good, not up to par with X360 games or PS3 of course, but nice to look at. I still think Nintendo can take much more advantage out of the console though, and we'll see a lot nicer games in a few months or so.

imo if you go up to like gamestation woolies and all other game stores they sell em in the morning you will get one but if you go to one in the afternoon u wont get one.

i left at 5am other day to get 1:S had to wait 3 hours till opening time but i was first in queue!
