Every class in this game can farm something, alone or with friends. You just need to know what you can and cannot farm then go for what you can, as in my case as a runemaster ML1.1 is a perfect place to farm cash.

I had a Mad Tales 3 drop from a orange con mob near Malice enc, and that was the only mob I killed because he aggroed me as I made my way up to the enc. :)

Luck? :D

Any idea what kind of Taur the orange mob was in order to create a mass wave of people farming it :)

Ofc the prices are high if u see how long it takes to farm one,

n/o but if i have to farm ml7 for 6hours(thats uber boring) and then hoping it dropped and then selling it for less 10P...

Some are way to high but then again, its a pretty greedy realm, think im the only one who ever sold full respecs for less then 5P (even 2p for guildies & friends). oh well.

I have no idea what type he was. but I think they were pretty much the same types of Taur's roaming there. Atleast he was melee because he didnt cast anything more like engage me in melee.

They are hard to miss you usually are able to spot those orange cons when you are standing near the Malice enc and I have gotten aggro from some of them on previous Malice encs.

Shades 3/3 is hard to farm, yes you can farm it with some other ppl but the droprate is pretty low, what means if one will drop and you lotto it the rest of the group have spend alot of time for nothing, Warrior/Shaman combo with the right outfit and healfont/powerfont (i dont know yet what works best) can do it but still hard and a least 5 minutes each kill.

I have killed hundreds of Siam-He Warriors on Albion with a Mincer/Salamander/Cleric combo (what go's alot easier then Warrior/Shaman for sure) and this scroll only dropped twice.

After having spent many hours farming Shades 3 imo the best setup with less ppl is 2 Shield Tanks and 1 Shaman/BB

Did that with a couple of friends and we managed to farm the scrolls we needed in 2-3 nights both Malice and Shades scrolls.

those arguments realy doesnt hold mate, you dont need to farm in ML7, because they drop of mobs in ashen isles and Typhons reach, and if you have a lvl 50 char and absolutely NO friends at all :eek7: that would be very wiered if your not ebayed or anything

If you just lay down flat on the ground giving up at everytime things doesnt go you way i realy see why you quit daoc

Mate. I played DaoC from open beta. But I quit because ToA introduced a level of grind (which people in this thread appear to equate directly to platinum) which ruined the game for all but obsessed nerds and people without lives.

The guy who started this thread gets around 2hrs a day to play daoc. He has a level 48 shadowblade, and needs the battler and GsV artis, he needs scrolls for scalars, malice, battler, SoM & GsV. He tries to organise ML7 farms (but can only get in with my shield warrior, not his SB), and artifact raids (last battler raid he organised, a lvl50 told him lvl48s weren't allowed to roll on the arti, so he didn't bother). He needs all his MLs, and once he has all his artis, he needs to level them all.

He loves DaoC, but he cannot understand how he is going to get the scrolls, let alone all of the other things he would love to have so he can go an RvR, which is all he wants to do. He cannot even get "a small scroll" for one of his artis, because farming it isn't possible with his playtime, and the price tag of 20p is beyond his reach.

It won't be long until he joins me in WoW....

And one more question to all you "it takes ages to farm" types...

Say you go to DV and Malice 3 or SoM 3 drops in 20mins (which is possible), do you price it accordingly on your ME? I.e. to represent 20mins of you DaoC time? Do you fu*k!!!!

Well said Chesnox! We had x2 rs3 scrolls drop within 5 mins of eachother.Oh and if you think the above story about mt3 is infuriating then sympathise with tsolias:) Our arti raid was passing him farming MT3 near malice on those oj mobs but he had too many or we agroed 1 as we passed.....guess what it dropped?:p yes i felt guilty but BG wouldnt sell it him :(

Lets see here. I get an item I wanna sell, I have a guy who pays lets say x amount of cash for it. Now another guy comes along and wanna buy the same item for x*10 the amount.

If I have understod Chesnox right he will sell it to the first guy which I seriously doubt he would ever do IRL. Same thing here, sure you can whine all day about people taking things in this game to seriously, but so what thats the hard fact and nothing anyone can do about it. Aslong as there are people around who are willing to cough up the cash, prices will be controlled by demand regardless of how long it took for it to drop.

btw I would sell it for x*10 without hesitating but I think thats pretty obvious by now. ;)
