Something i have been thinking about for a while. Why oh why do people write to shows like oprah etc. and tell them about their problems be it beeing abused by her father or my son is a crackhead please help...

Yesterday on Oprah, I saw this one girl that has low self esteem and she hates the way she looks. She brakes mirrors and sometimes she doesn't go to her modelling jobs...

So my bug question is: Do people write to these shows because they need the attention or do they really think they can get help? Or are they all actors?!

though, that example you wrote up is rather ironic... she hates looking at herself, so she goes on a popular show and gets her image burned into media... so now EVERYONE can look at her and she'll NEVER be able to undo it... only in america

last i watched was sally jessy rapheal. 4 little twatty children all bad to their parents etc (though some of the problems i couldnt see why there is an issue*) then 4 big, black, drill sergeants came in and started to pwn them, screaming in their face and everything else they do.

i lolled when one of them shouted "AM I SPITTIN ON YOU, AM I SPITTIN ON YOU? THATS OK, COS I DO WHAT THE HELL I WANT".

i dont really like the way she operates though. one kid came on as they smoked pot, immediatley SJR implys she also probably does crack and heroin.

*drink, pot and sex. dont all 16-21 yr olds do at least 2/3 of those on a regular occasion? none of which are a problem imo, aslong as your not a retard.
