Why people leave this game after two or three years of playing?
I am asking this question to myself and cant find an answare....
Is it for the game mechanics?
Nah. I still think that with all the bugs and unbalances there is still nothing similar on the market.
Is it for the community?
Nah. I love to think people have friends here. Yes, if I spend three years playng a game and talking with someone, I think I can call him a friend... even if I never met him "really".
Is it for boredum?
Maybe. Everything become boring after a while. But with new patches and so many things to explore and do, and new people to meet, and new battles to win...
Is it for having a nice "goodbay thread"?
Maybe. Everyone can see people crying at his own "funeral", people showing friendship, people sayng "please come back"... and that is a good sensation. But this is an effect, don't think is the reason.
So why? why really?
Consider me as almost an external obsever.
For a long series of reasons my work and family duties dont let me play as much as I would like at the moment.
I log in a bit in the weekends, I play and talk a bit with my friends.
I read this forum sometimes.
But I still have the "pleasure" of playng.
I still have the warm pleasure of talking with people I have meet years ago, to explore new things and kill albs.
Bored? sometimes. But I am not addicted. When I am bored of the game I simply pause playing it, for days, months....
But when I am back, there is the old Tholus, there are his friends and his foes, and still is a joy.
I really hope this will remain the same in times to come.
And I think that losing that "warm pleasure" is the reason people quit.
And still I wonder how, playing with calm and serenity, people can lose that pleasure.
And still miss a good answare...
