Why it is doubtful SI will reach the shelves in feb

They intend to release SI in feb right? However, we are 6 patches behind from SI compatibility and given the lack of patches of late are we to believe that we will get 6 patches inside 1 month? Somehow I doubt that and I doubt SI will be released in time, just my 2 coppers.

1.53 = four new dungeons, a lot of quest & crafting changes, some RA changes. 1.54 = spellcrafting & alchemy.
MASSIVE patches.
1.55->1.58 = tiny, tiny patches.

I'm still hopeful...

Also, they intend to release SI on the 21st February. That's quite a bit more than 'inside a month'...

SI was released in the US when they were on patch 1.56. So we're only 4 (or 2 double) patches away from it....

As of now, we are planning to release Shrouded Isles with the patch 1.57, which means that the servers should be patched to 1.57 during the release week of S.I. No need to say that this beginning of the year will be quite intense for everyone here at GOA !

No comments about Shadowbane and ac2 buut...

"come on, nothing made by blizzard is.." LOL GET REAL! Blizzard have not made one single fuck up since they started making games. Warcraft 1/2 was small time hitters.....but starcraft, diablo, warcraft 3..need i say more? Starcraft is the one strategy game with the highest rewards ever, and quite alot of people STILL play diablo both one and two on boring days =) So if you go for logic, it is rather bound to be a success rather then disaster

AO.....quite agree with ya really Cept that boring is not really the word, distasterous is rather the word...

EQ owned, still own, but have no real massive multiplayer factor like rvr so it also get boring...those who is as caught up in EQ as some of us are in Camelot is NEVER likely to quit

SWG: Well, its not likely to empty Daoc at all, its totaly different setting. How a sci-fi game is likely to dry out a fantasy game i am not really sure, but i quite disagree with it =) Much more likely to dry out AO imoh =)

Point - look, OK, you misunderstood me. I loved Diablo & D2.... I liked the single-player of Starcraft and the Warcraft games, although the plot of WC3 was b0rked. (Shit we're all dead, oh no, oh god my face, oh <bad guys all blow up> yay we won)

But; can you imagine an MMPORG of em? Of any of those worlds? (well, starcraft actually, damn that could be great ) I can't forsee roleplaying in a warcraft setting being fun. The plot's stretched thin enough as it is. OK, so it may be fun but I doubt it'll be better than DAoC is, or than SWG will be. If I have to group with Gorbush Manflayer the orc grunt for more than 20 minutes at a time, I can guarantee I'll go off my rocker.

Now, I agree that SWG is likely to be good. It's got an incredible amount of development power (money & talent) and the Star Wars universe, while not overly rich at first, has been filled out SO much by movies, books, fan-created stuff, blah blah blah, plus the potential for input from the moviewriters to the game's design, etc...
But kill DAoC?
That isn't how games work matey; people still play Quake1.
