Why does the VM

show negative numbers ?
VM = Virtuell memory.

AS i stated inearlier thread my comp rebooted 2-40 secs into game and i found that ny VM had negative numbers so i removed lots of proggies and checked again and it was positive numbers..then i restarted comp adn all of a sudden VM was back on negative numbers...

How can it b negative when my hardrive have over 60 GB free memory ?

Comp specc is
P4 2.0 with 512 Ram and 120 GB HD

win 98 = old, they didnt have numbers like 60GB when win 98 was written Its probably a display bug caused by the number for free VM getting so large that the last bit (sign bit) flips and the number reads as negative, probably harmless and only a display bug.

consider WinXP.
