eLL Tee, you're way off the point now. Are you suggesting that if, for example, I'm at an enemy flag in 'capping' mode and some people spawn in front of me, I'm supposed to throw down my weapon and kneel? Or run around making sure the enemy have a good crack at seeing me to ensure a gentlemanly fight?

Sod that. I'll take a hidden, defensive position, thanks and hope I can stay alive long enough for that flag to change to that magical grey.

Itcheh made the best point. If you spawn into an area and get instantly killed then wow! Don't spawn there again. Chances are you won't have a choice anyway.

I would like about 2 seconds of invisibility when you spawn, say as the counter ticks from 3 to 2. However, you can only "spin around", not fire or move etc. Would give you a fairer playing field against enemies waiting in a respawn for you.

At the moment, if I suspect an over-run respawn I simply hit the deck and spin round :)

Yes. Surely that's what you're supposed to do? For what its worth I don't like the invisibility idea either.

Just to play devils advocate, what about uncappable spawns?

The way I see it is what are you doing at uncappable spawns? No sense wasting time there when you could be defending your taken flags or trying to cap the enemy flags
