Why do ppl move in fgs all the time?

Why do you all exept ~3 - 4 players from each alb/midd move in 1fg or more?, cant you solo or something are you that gimped?

this is mainly for the classes that _can_ solo (sbs,hunters,scouts,infs,minstrels)... ive yet to see an mincer solo in thidranki really..

I never grouped with my zerk, but its pretty useless to run around all alone, with thoose ganksquads of stealthers. And lack of solo enemies. But hey always fun to run into 4-5 casters and kick their ass in hamster mode.

Well minstrels/bards/skalds can move around solo more freely. Since they just can run away.

Sure.. we can kill casters.. but they're in full groups usually..

We can even have a good chance against stealthers if *we* uncover *them*. A quick stun shout, dd, dd etc.

But what's that? All the stealthers are uber twinked SC with maxed Body resist (and probably cold/fire/thrust/slash for good effect)?

Well I'll be. No wonder the minsts don't solo much.

And kiting is *not* a valid way to solo

well i could solo with my mincer in thid 23inst,15slash,5stealth, could kill most sbs and ns:es quite easy, dont see how mincers can end up gimping theirself

max body resists is still only 13% in thid so it makes allmost no impact

just comes down to whatever your a chicken or not

I normally do move solo with my scout, but make sure that everyone else is close by, as I prefer to cause some confusion, so that everyone else has an upper hand.

this coming from a zergling .. i am surprised actually, but once again would like to mention if you would like to play mano-a-mano go play Quake / CS ... DaoC isnt just an online game.. its MMORPG and as such implies some sense of community and communal playstyle, hence gradation Support/Tank/Ranged... to say that people are chickens because they always in groups is simply profane in my opinion, even such loners as Stabbers have learnt to gang up. This is not to say i like the shadow zergs , but hey if people feel that they can be more efficient this way .. why not, its their choice.

well i can understand casters, clerics, etc ppl who havnt got stealth - that they move in grps,.. but stealthers moveing in grps is just pure weakness....

Stealther grps on excal were started by the worst players etc and it took away LOTS of fun for the ppl, was less skill and more numbers who won,..

You seem to enjoy zerging emain on excalibur with your zerker plenty for someone who doesn't like zerging. Can't say I've ever seen you without a minimum of 3fg other mids with you.

Since when are 3 FG skilled players that are leveled to be uber groups together a zerg...

A zerg is just rushing in, and winning by having the most players. NP can kill even bigger numbers, due to skill and dedicated players.

Oh yeah, btw, nobody ever sais Llaw Arian zergs. Though it's the same situation...

So this is why NP only stay as long as they are not outnumbred.. as soon as they are overrun by a force that outnumbers them .. they just go to a different frontier.
PS: pounding Pbaoe button is hardly skill imo.. but everything else involved could be.

I am not actually in teh zerg hence my lack of alot of RP .. sorusi was nice enough to look them up, as i do not enjoy them.. all i do is show up at keep sieges and sometimes venture into yggdra/uppland where i can sometimes find blue/yellow con .. usually <dance> with greys unstealthed.


As for Enchanter, i did play one, hence i said 'everything else involved could be'. I found it boring however to pound PBaoe button really as it got mundane. So went to play 4th bard in row for BG1.

First off if you call moveing in 2 fgs zerging you are TOTALLY insane, for some months ago you COULD go around as 1fg, but with excals zergs etc (albs move in 3 - 4 fgs ALOT, so do hibbs.. this is why we move as 2fgs.. and not 3, not ever.. that would only be some leeching grp following us (we tell them to go somewhere else).. and so i dont zerg... i hate zerging....

anyway, about pbaoeing is no skill, i cant agree with you, there is skill in everything wich determins whoever wins or loose if its a fair fight.... and its not only to "press the pbaoe button" you gotta judge the situation etc and pick propper targets, and stay alive...

but these are skills ppl who only move in zerg never get to know cos they just have a 5fg vs 2fg fight where they can fuck up how much they want cos its still allmost impossible to loose unless they are all afk or getting major CC:ed and pbaoed

imo thid is allmost like rest of emain... 200 unsecure stealthers who cant dare to solo and a small amount of them who actacully solo... (might be the "new" ppl that are "grown" up with stealthers zergs everywhere" and take it as granted, i dont know.. -> remember old times )

anyway would be nice if ppl would actacully go out in 3 - 4ppl grps and have more of "fair fights" - since its not about capping RPs as fast as possible in thid (atlast not for me, its other way around allmost)

PS: danyan dont think you have been in emain to much then if you only seen me in "3fgs" as you call it... only play in NP:grps, and BC grps both numbers of 1fg or 2fgs... (NP do not zerg, its either ppl following NP grps so they think they can leech rps, or its your excuse for looseing )

Now you are starting to finally make some sense.

PS: Albs will never ever go in smaller groups, and this is not because of lack of skill, its the lack of CC and support classes in Thidranki from Albionese side. This month everyone is making a Friar, last month it was merc/infil ... when you look at it a nice pattern emerges.
And as for stealther 'zergs', well people that levelled the infils to pwn in Thidranki got a bit disappointed with the fact that they actually couldnt properly do it. Thus in order to not totally abandon Thidranki fun they decided they would group up and make it easier. I know i will get flamed for this but... i played 3 bards through thidranki and was only once PAd properly for 300 damage.. rest of time they either jinxed it or hit for 150 <and no that wasnt a BS2>.
