Why do people who hate the game so much keep playing and hanging around

Problem is, Rightnow has the reputation of ''RightNever''. Many examples of lengthy waiting times on problems were scattered all over the place on the old BW boards and here too. I too have many examples, one of which was feedback on a certain issue which never even got looked at. After waiting 2 months for a response I gave up.

Back to the original post, I quit DAOC around a month ago, and tbh I don't miss it that much. At first I was quite getting into TOA, but I soon realised that in my view it ruined the game. Instead of ML's and artifacts being something that you could do without, it turned out you need them to even compete at RvR, and the bitching that went along with raids and the greed just made me think I could do without it.
I'll proberbly be back for frontiers if the feedback from the US is good but DAOC for me has lost it's appeal.
It was great while it lasted.

All these moans and groans from both sides of of the coin (mythic/goa vs cutomer) are down to the old perception nut! We (the customer) see them (mythic/goa) as money grabbing, non caring, dont listen...........fill in rest to as you will. They see us as swearing, complaining, not understanding........... fill in rest as you will.

No matter what the truth is both sides now have their perceptions of each other and as far as most people care then perception = truth.

Ok, so how do do we unravel this mess! It a simple statement but not often done well: communicate effectively!!!

Books have been written on subject and I am NO expert but here are a few thoughts:-

(i) mythic/goa, if we have problems, concerns etc. How do you want us to talk to you. Do you need it filtered etc.......

(ii) Mythic/goa, tell us what you will do about the problem, when you will do it and how you will report back to us.

(iii) Mythic/goa Monitor (ii) and publish the statistics on how well you are performing in an agreed form and regularly.

And before there is a mad rush to say that these are in place already go back and read top of my post! I know theses are the barest of bones but at least can we get a discussion going before it all collapses about our ears!
