Rant Why do people change avatars?

This is ment to be a spinoff (not so much as it is ment to bash Lamps new avatar) on "Why do people get married"...

Now please change that avatar, its freaking me out while being annoying at the same time!!

edit: Could have made a poll about it, but i´ll leave that to someone else.

I actually hate it too as i usually search for posts based on pictures and not names. Faster.

I change it if i find it appropriate to my persona, but mine is so full of awesome that it ain't changing

You broke the chameleon circuit didn't you.

I rarely change my avatar, but the first load I used where ripped from other places or just place holders until I found something more suitable.
