Going to tidy up this forum a bit. The 'spam' posts are stupidly out of control, so any threads purely for the pointless purpose of raising post count will likely to be closed or deleted.

Same principles as the main OT forum, it's for stuff that's not related to DAoC, not to solely bolster post counts.

While this one was largely left alone for quite a while it's pretty difficult to justify its existence now when there are so many 'k' and '+1' posts that they're spilling over into other forums.

Honestly Brinx, did you expect anything else? There's already the main Off-Topic board for genuine off-topic discussions, and at least there the postcount-farming can be easily watched/moderated....

The server specific OTs were created so the non-daoc chatter that was in Pryd/Excal General/RvR could go somewhere so people could have the choice of whether or not just to read DAoC related topics or a wider scope of things.

We moved off-topic material from the server forums to main OT prior to the creation of these, but it didn't really work as they're largely different sets of people, and consequently the majority continued to post in general/RvR regardless.

Before the creation of the two OT's pure spam threads were deleted as practise, we gave more leeway here as to letting people post what they want (within the usual CoC regs), which was fine for a while, but now it's pretty much taking the piss having IRC style conversations consisting of maybe two words per post in thread after thread. Especially when it's the sole intent of raising postcount and complete obvious about it.

I'm not asking for a complete stop in 'spam' posts or the way people are using the OT atm as that's unrealistic, and if people enjoy doing it then fair enough. Just a reduction back to how it used to be, with people's wibblings at least being vaguely contextual rather than solely to make a forum number incrementing by one.
