Everyone says to make an Artisan to start with but if you want a full out fighter class isnt it better to pick Brawler? I heard you get some abilities then straight away.

If I wanted to be a Teras Kasi isnt it better to pick Brawler?
I dont really get the different in starter classes... o_O

why not pick both?

take artisan at the start and go to the brawler trainer and get that as well and maybe a medic career to heal wounds or a entertainer career to heal a bit?

remember this game isnt like anyother with regards to class structures and stuff its really hard to gimp up and you can delete skills and try again whenever u want

Read this,Clicky click it explains why artisan is the best to get first ofc you dont have to, it just makes it that tiny bit easyer at the start.

So there is not really any reason to be any other starter class, since you can just become an Artisan, get the items then change over ingame?

nto so much change over you will still be a novice artisan i dont think u can untrain that but u can certainly untrain all the artisan skills and get the skill pts back for it and change aye

It's not best for all players to start as an artisan, novice medics get free stims and a crafting tool and scouts get a crafting tool also, novice entertainers get a free slitherhorn.

The reason most new players are using the Artisan career as the starting point is that it offers the most diversity straight off-the-bat. If you arent sure of what career you want to persue, its a good choice as not only do you get a crafting tool, but you get 2 surveying tools so you can get the resources you need to make most basic kit to get you started.

Its all academic really, as if you start as any career then run a few missions, in 30 minutes you will be able to gain the perks that artisans get free anyway.

So if I was going for a full on fighter class would I benifit by starting as a Brawler or does it not much make difference?

It doesnt make that much difference, but if you are sure you want to start off as a brawler, then do so.

You can always pick up other skills as and when you want :)
