I have subscribed today and already I see the benefits. The way I see It I enjoy online gaming, servers I play on do not run for free therefore they have to find money to run them, Paying £12 a year for this plus other benefits is well worth the money.

You do not get anything for free thease days for example my local public toilet you have to pay the woman at the counter to use them. :) not that I use them of course :p

I'll hopfull get mine sorted out Sat or Mon, depending on when I get my switch card. Totally agree with previous statements about giving something back, especially for the hosting.

When it's cold outside, it cleverly sends hot air down to your feet (hot air rises). When its warm outside, it sends cold air to the top of the cabin (to cool the plastic dash, etc).

You don't know what you're missing m8. Oh, let me tell you - an Audi A4. With an 8-disc OEM changer too.

:D

My dads car has CC, its very good until it goes wrong :)

I now have a Toyota Celica GT4, its fucking great, it has air con and a turbo, the air con don't work though(second car in a row with non working air con), but the turbo sure does, I have to say its the best car I've owned, its even better than my beloved Saab 9000 turbo.

Quite often with those Japanese cars the air con needs recharging. I done it a few times on the ones we had- celica, zx300 , mx5- and it only cost about £60 m8 :)

I do believe certain liquid, or something, needs replacing every so often in all AC cars.

We had a VW Sharan with Climate Control, which went wrong, VW repaired it under warranty. New condenser, compressor belts etc, cost about £1300 inc labour.

I love warranties, I hate VW.

SG, exactly how long have you been driving. I appreciate that driving in cities can be daunting, but Jeez.

I remember my first trip, the day I passed my test back in '88. Took my mini 950 from Scunthorpe to Cleethorpes with 3 mates, took us nearly 2 hrs to do a 35 mile trip :(

We got soooooo lost, we ended up doing nearly 60 miles. It wasnt really worth going in the end, everywhere was closed by the time we got there.

Where did you take your car to get the air con recharged Throddy? Am I gonna have to take it a Toyota dealership?

No dont go to a Toyota dealer they'l be well dear m8. Look in the paper for a air con specialist, they come to your house and do it I expect :)

Im not sure they use Freon anymore, it melts holes in the O-Zone, like instantly. I believe they are using an alternative of some kind (probably equally as destructive, only know ones realised)

Same with fridges. Thats why you cant get rid of old ones. Unless you dump it down a farm track.

*looks innocent*

Also, if you do have air-con, you should ensure that it is used at least once a week (even during the winter) otherwise the seals on the compressor go hard and crack, allowing the fridge gas to escape, and rendering your compressor U/S.

If you use it regular, like Tom says it should last the cars lifetime.

:)

Funnily enough Willier I had this conversation with me dad not so long ago. He runs a large company doing heating and air conditioning etc. I said cars air con need recharging, and he said no they dont , blah blah fridges dont need recharging, blah blah, its the same thing.
However I managed to finish the argument by saying that whilst I appreciate what hes saying, I know people whos sole business is recharging car air cons. Which kind of closed the subject really :)

//edit however what you've said about using it regualarly makes some sense, the only cars we done it on have been jap import ones, where quite often they have not been used at all, let alone the air con, for some years. This may account for what were saying. My Vectra has done 77000 miles and the air con works fine.

Hmmmm my car is an import, so maybe thats why it ain't working, its also got a cd player in it which don't work and a boost controller which I really want to work.....but doesn't, I think a major wire may of come off somewhere so I shall ring an auto electrician next week, apart from those things the car is fantastic, it goes like a rocket.

Getting the motorbike bug again though. If Lester would hurry up and get his finger out(before he reaches official old age)we could both ride motorbikes around holding hands and singing.

Speaking of which, I dont think I will be getting a new one very soon Throd. It was a choice between the NSR and new MTB, and there really wasnt enough room in the garage, and I didnt get enough use out of it, and, and...........................I miss my NSR :(
