Entirely pointless in the current state of the game. You *NEED* TOA to make the game somewhat fun for some classes (eg. casters, Determination V/Charge tanks without BG is stupid). Dont even wanna think twice about Curing Disease single target tank for tank again. Or being nearsighted and unable to do a damn thing :ZZzz

Furthermore less PvE? Well perhaps, but think again, soon you *NEED* championlevels/championweapons to compete again. Why in heavens-name do that tedious PvE grinding (coz that what is ChampionLevel XP) without a FOP !? Not to mention the point that with those CL's you *NEED* those more on a 'Classic server' then on a TOA-server. Simply because Champweapons will give u Resistpiercing/TOAstyle/melee bonusses which aint available otherwise on Classic (contrary to TOA where u can get those on arti's).

If it would be 'real'classic with 'old RA's' and such it might be worth considering. Basically its a no-TOA no-buffbot server, making it not that good from my PoV, especially not with the incoming Darkness Rising at the time we get Classic here.

I will be moving, better for a casual player and I fancy some new people... (Not that I hate you lot) But still I fancy it, I know more about normal weapons that drop in the likes of DF than I do about ToA due to the fact I didnt come back too the game till 2 months after ToA was implemented...

5 days /played on my lamorak paladin, when i quit, still ph0rming darkspire. a bit less on my chanter on lamorak, fully templated.

3 days played on my sorc on camlann and i had mp sc, 6 of 7 artis i needed activated and all but 1 piece of jewelery.

obviously, it's not true for everyone, and it doesn't take into account i also still need mls3-10, but i think that's a relatively fair reflection on what people will feel is an 'easy' server to get kitted out etc. on - reality check: it takes just as long, if not longer and also is a HELL of a lot more boring. i'd rather do ml raids, farm scrolls in different zones etc. than run one of the most boring dungeons i've ever seen 50 or so times.

saying all this, i'll probably end up rolling there if horde move over as a guild

Took me about 2 weeks starting from scratch in pryd to get my artis done auto triained lvl 50 about ml 5 then a few weeks more for ml 10 then yet a few more days as im a retard who cant make up my mind about my temp so i have 14 artis at lvl 10

I also think the server is bad idea overall, it will split out the small population and like people have said "classic" should be classic not just non-toa non-buffbot server. But if it looks like its lot of rvrguilds going there might as well do the same since exc/pry cluster will prolly be much less active for a while then.

Dont understand why they dare call it classic when it is with Catacombs and NF. It is a non-toa server. Hardly classic. A while back if it was SI and OF and that I would not have hesitated but really cba now just with a non-toa server.

Yes because what people say on a forum must be true! When it opens a lot will go an try it out for a few weeks, just look what happened on the US. I was there in the first few weeks of classic on the US..it desimated the main servers, thinking it wont do the same here is foolish.
