Depends on the mental state of the predators involved. Some are psychologically vulnerable while others are strong, just like humans. When they meet, the 'roaring match' will decide who is stronger and that's where most confrontations end.

If it comes to blows though, I think the tiger would win. Lions laze around while their 'bitches' go out hunting and bring back the kill. Tigers make their own kills and by experience alone, I'd expect the tiger to slide in and rip out the lion's throat before he can react.
