One is a footballer(actually had to wiki it ) and the other an actor living in the states.

I'd have to say, as basketball is more popular in the states, that the "jack bauer" as an actor, or as a character, would have to win.

Really odd question asking whether a german footballer or an actor would win at basketball. I'd have to say Jack bauer though due to his being american...although Beckenbauer would be fitter.

Hmm, you guys are missing the finer details though. For instance, being a CTU officer Jack could unholster his 9mm and pistol whip Franz before running up and slam dunking the ball to score. However Franz could use his mesmerising ball skills with the ball at his feet to make Jack dizzy before chipping the ball up in the hair and hitting an stunning overhead kick into the basket for 3 points.

You need to think along these lines.

I liked the begining and then you just ruined it.

I liked it, nice twist in true 24 style (At least the first couple of series it was believable -just-! now anything that can and anything that cant go wrong does, almost always, go wrong)

Jack is epic, but franz has the major physical advantage as well as being german

I liked the begining and then you just ruined it.

I'm going to blame it on starting the story stone cold sober and finishing it in a whiskey induced coma!!
