I woundt know about scientific proof, but I can make a conclusion based on my own experiences..and they tell me that there is indeed thruth to the myth...

I'm sure someone has done some study somewhere on the subject though.

It's polite compared to the alternative.

The reaction would be the same, no matter what i wrote, if it was anything outside "yes she is".

Honestly, if it weren't such a blatant asskissing contest because there's a girl among the gaming crew, none of you would call a random chick who looks like that "fit". Normal, etc, but not hot, fit, special.

Quite right, there's levels of polite.

Me saying "no comment" can only be seen as "i don't think so", but it could've been ruder.

I just dislike threads that attempt to hide the blatant asskissery into some kind of democratic opinion thread and then people turn into raging maniacs the moment someone does what the thread is trying to be.
