I will stay with DAOC. waiting for Catacombs then 1.74 with changes on scrolls droprates and who drops them will do alot
I will be playing WoW because my old guild members are going there so i will too, i will still play daoc rarely like i currently do since it has nothing to offer for me at the moment due to no one from the guild playing prydwen anymore.

Sounds like an insecurity complex, having to post on the DAoC forum that WoW sucks. Come to the WoW board and ask the same question 
Oh, and EQ2 is utter crap - better to give up games all together than play that unadulterated tosh!

Up until now, I was not considering going to WoW, but the recent problems with lag in the frontiers... freezing my screen for up to 10 seconds, every few minutes, is making me seriously consider leaving DAoC altogether.
I can't take much more of the damned lags. They really spoil the game.

I have 7 rl friends playing us wow. Even with all this friends i havent
logged on to wow for over 2 weeks now. I got bored a lvl 20 something
and did play on with my friends to where i´am now at 36.
Its like Evelasting Daoc Epicquesting if anyone rember Epics =)

WoW is nonsense! stay in daoc!
Different type of game
Played WOW recently. If you play solo I find it a bit boring but if you play with someone in a group I find it great fun. Doesn't have the intensity of DAOC yet but then again I ain't pvp'd at all. Game has all the features that DAOC should have such as not needing 2 accounts from day one. You can post any stuff from one alt to another; take potions or eat something to speed up healing etc. All the terrible and easily overcome problems that DAOC has had for ages are not in WOW. Gotta ask yourselves why Mythic hasn't removed the need for a 2nd account after all these years. Pure and simple - greed. Now I hope they get their come-uppence and lose a great deal of custom and money. They will be forced now into doing something for the casual and new players. Wassa bet the need for a buffbot will be removed, along with a method of swapping items between alts - and less downtime through slow healing etc. You mark my words they will all be sorted in no-time. You can all thank WOW for that!

Well, I've been playing WoW since last Saturday and I'm very impressed.
It knocks the spots of DAoC in my opinion.
It feels like DAoC did in the early days... it's exciting and vibrant, with lots to keep you interested.
The one thing I like a lot is the "talent" system... they are a bit llike realm abilities... but you get the points to invest into talents as you level.. so by the time you're level 60 you have the max. 51 points to spend. This is better than the realm ability system in my opinion. By the time you get to level 60 in WoW, you will have the maximum points to spend as you wish, whereas with DAoC that can't be guaranteed... in fact, I can probably say safely that no play has ever got to RR10 by the time he/she has got to level 50.
WoW graphics are vastly superior I think and the cities are truly amazing... unlike Camelot, Tir na nOg and Jordheim, which seem microscopic in comparison.
Also, mages don't get interrupted as much in WoW. You get a visual indication of the interrupt... which doesn't last for long... then you normally succeed in casting. The visual really helps to keep you calm, because you know that the spell is definitely going to happen when the interrupt timer finishes.
Most importantly, I've not experienced any lag problems with WoW and the graphics are very smooth.
Blizzard say that over 280,000 copies of WoW have been sold in Europe since its launch on 11 February. This is a record and I think it will almost certainly be very bad news for DAoC. Some might even say that DAoC will die. Personally, I don't know, but the way things are going, it may be that WoW will overtake DAoC.... it probably has already.
Really bad timing for Mythic.... they should have got Catacombs out in Europe before WoW was released. I think GOA will struggle to keep it's players from defecting to WoW.
