who else gets random scratches on their back/shoulders?

The only place I get them is my back and shoulders - I either must scratch my back in my sleep or subconsciously scratch (aka without realising).

I googled it to see what kind of comments over people were leaving in regards and I got this:

me, but i have eczema . in all seriousness though, as someone who itches a lot obviously, my back is pretty much the only place i consistently scratch myself/break the skin. this i can only contribute to stretching to reach there meaning i put undue pressure on the skin that i don't on places i can easily reach.

as you said, you're probably just itching there in the night. it probably has some deep psychological meaning relating to your first childhood pet or something.

i get it on my shins its horrible! however, aloe vera jelly is fantastic I have found that just dabbing some on my legs before bed stops me from waking up in the middle of the night clawing myself stupid!

It is unusual but also normal. A friend of mine userd to get really hardcore scratches all over his back in places he couldnt reach, and that was during the night too.

It did stop one night though. We found him stabbing a crucifix in his ass and he eventually bled to death. There might be somethign in the evil spirit thing.

After reading this the first time when you posted it I thought omg what a nutter but now...


I didn't realise I was doing it myself until late yesterday where I was constantly scratching my back... once I realised I was doing this I thought about this post and thought what a twat I am hehe... mind you tho that was the first time I scratched my back in a long while.
