Who are you?

Old Mrs Miggins (age 52) is crossing the road to her pie shop, her eye sight is not as good as it used to be, and unbeknown to her Timothy an Evil little boy armed to the teeth (age 14) is tracking her, ready to rob her of her pies…

Do you:

A. Take a step back and do nothing while watching with interest, “well Mrs Miggins had a good innings and 1 v 1 tis a fair fight”. Even though Mrs Miggins screams for help like a scorned pig, you turn your back on her. Local papers call you a coward, but your honour is intact.

B. Watch with interest, once it’s obvious Mrs Miggins handbag is no good against Timothy’s machete you intervene and shoot Timothy in the balls with your crossbow. Mrs Miggins is very grateful and gives you one her special pie shaped pies.

C. Before Timothy even gets to Mrs Miggins you fire off a shot from your crossbow, it glances off Timothy and he hardly notices. You then hide behind a bush and watch with interest as Timothy machetes to death Mrs Miggins. The local paper hails you a hero for at least trying and you show them your injuries inflicted in the fight (caused by the brambles!).

D. When Timothy gets to Mrs Miggins you notice that Timothy’s machete has got caught in her girdle, now unarmed Mrs Miggins is pulverising Timothy with her handbag, you go over and finish him off. Local papers call you a hero; Mrs Miggins has banned you from her Pie shop.

E. Timothy starts hacking at poor old Mrs Miggins and you notice a young lad (Percy) running over to help, as the lad starts on Timothy, you spring out of the bushes with your five mates and kill Timothy, you also smack Percy in the gob for getting in the way of “your” fair fight.

The more astute FH reader realised the post is about Stealther Adding and it highlights the main ways people do or don't do it. They are all based on situations that I have been in.

I find it very hard to make the right decision and get numerous pms either whining about Adding\leeching or for not helping out (Guindor ).

The way people add seems to be a very personal thing, and individuals expect different things, if I am in a fight and I am loosing I do expect help, if I am winning I don't. I treat my realm mates in the same way. If I have put time into a kill then I won't go unrewarded either (E).

(Some of the names I may have got wrong, but I think most are accurate.)

A. Mrs Miggins = Me, Timothy = Cweep, Hero\Villain = Hugme
I asked Hugme for help, he said no, it was a fair 1 v 1 fight.

B. Mrs Miggins = Nalistah, Timothy = Alpha, Hero\Villain = Me.
Nalistah pm'ed thanks after I killed Alpha who has Mezzed Nalistah near Alb fg at Hib keep.

C. Mrs Miggins = Random Alb, Timothy = Random Mid, Hero\Villain = Leeching
Me watching Leeching at work.

D. Mrs Miggins = Luvley , Timothy = Echion, Hero\Villain = Me
I got slagged off for Adding which was fair.

E. Mrs Miggins = Echion, Timothy=Stajjijjon, Hero\Villan = Takhysis, Percy = Me.
Stajjijjon killed Echion, I followed Stajjijjon for what seemed an eternity attacked him three times (one at Bledmeer bridge, once in Ocean (wolf), once back on river bank by Bled t3), Takhysis and his group arrived and attacked Stajjijjon, I carried on attacking. Takhysis slagged me off for adding.

One I didn't have:
F. Mrs Miggins = Random Alb infil, Timothy=Paradoxx, Hero\Villan = Me
Paradoxx was fighting an Infil 1 v 1 in Alb, I was watching, he PM'd me several times (was my stealth that bad? ) to kill his attacker (requesting an Add) I helped. The alb was defeated and Paradoxx dinged R9.

Xajorkith seems to be a good guy when he is not complaining about (or defending!) relic raids. Me, being a healer, I'd stand at a safe distance keeping Mrs Miggins healed, possibly throwing a zephyr in Timothy's way.

guess with Glamis it'd be stun smite and ghetto ress Mrs Miggins at the end

question (for those that object to adding):

If someone adds with a stun/zephyr/whatever and throws the fight completely in your favour do you get as upset as if they add with a nuke/bow/whatever and either finish off or do enough damage so you can finish off your opponent (again putting the fight completely in your favour)

B. Run up and try to mend Mrs Miggins's severed arteries with elastoplasts and tcp while Timmy hacks away with the Machete

Ontopic though, it totally depends on my mood, the way the guy I'm with at that moment feels about leeching and the other persons involved.

Same goes other way around. Sometimes I'm in a fair 1 vs 1 and either of us gets zerged. I sometimes feel like shouting at the person who leeched on me while some other time I just leave them or even say thanks.

I don't really think there is a 'right' or 'wrong'. Just play the way you feel like playing at that moment and don't mind too much about other people imo. You don't pay 12 euros / month for THEIR pleasure.

It's never really been discussed, yes someone will post "xxx you fecking leech", which is hardly discussing, there are so few real discussion threads on this board.

The strange bit was so I could I make the post "neutral" no class or realm specifics, this was some attempt to make sure I didn’t get flamed.
