Who are better drivers ? Men or Women ?

Better means: confident, safe, calm, considerate, good at parking, able to indicate at junctions / roundabouts, not using the mobile while driving, not applying make-up while driving, not talking / moaning / arguing / prattling aimlessly about crap, able to read maps and navigate, able to change a tyre, not demanding to pull in at the next service station cos they need a wee, able to listen to the news without saying "this is boring, I'm gonna put my Abba CD on", etc etc

Yea sure women have less accidents, but if you work it out. There are alot more male drivers on the road at one time, so the chance of a male crashing is alot higher than a woman having an accident.

Saying that, as a driver i can saflely say that, 90% of the time i have a "close run-in" with someone on the road it is normaly a woman not checking her mirrors as she pulls out at 50mph on a duel carridge way, or wrong lane at an island etc.

Men make the accidents, but women cause them yapping on and on in the passenger's seat about their late friend's brother's fiancé's great aunt twice removed that she met once and that moved to alabama three years ago, only to pass away two years ago yadda yadda and suddenly screaming "Watch out for that car!!!" that's been driving smoothly in front of ye for like 5 minutes already, but she didn't notice because she's been searching her purse all that time for some roque weird item.
So you get a good scare, swirl the steering wheel, crash head-on to a car on the other lane, and it says in the insurance registry:

That sounds like an explanation, but then again I don't think insurance companies are stupid =) There's just too much money involved to allow stupidity =) Well I can say from my own experience that the men I know are taking more risks when driving than the women I know =) I'm not a saint myself though, I love going fast from A to B, but ok, I don't go further than I think I can handle the car. I'm not driving nuts on a cold, rainy windy day =)

Women have more accidents then men, however when men have an accident more often then not men cause more damage. Hence why insurance companies look at them differently.

So in general men are safer as they less likely to have an accident, however if they do then you are more likely to be hurt So six of one, half dozen of the other.

All depends on the woman though, do they talk constantly, spend time looking in mirror doing makeup while driving etc. I dont feel safe with anyone else driving so I need neither option!

Not sure if I remember it right but think it was Switzerland that lowered the amount of alcohol you could have in the blood and drive legally, the car accidents went way up cause the men kept on drinking as before but let there wife's drive instead. Guess its one of these narrow minded countries where the men never let there wife's drive instead of them, personally I don't mind at all too let her drive specially on long trips, cause then I can sleep

I find women have mobiles stuck to the ear more than men. And some of the girl racers round essex are horrible drivers practically connect to the back of your car love to speed have no lance disipline are not really sure what a roudabout dose, have no idea what hatched of areas of roam mean ect. Could go on moaning all day.

The Above is from my experiance while driving to and from work the only time i care about mong drivers really

Im of the opinion, generally (by no means all the time), that men are better with spatial awareness, n on he whole are more capable drivers (and i believe scientific research back me up on this). Although to make up for their shortcomings, the majority of women (again, by no means all) and much more CAREFULL drivers.

It seems to me that men have less accidents, but take more risks, and so when they do crash, it's generally a PROPER crash (no point in doing it by halves eh?) whereas woman crash more, but its more, "scrapes" "dings" and "forgotten wing mirrors". I feel more comfortable driving with men, as they on the whole seem better at getting OUT of scrapes and problems caused by other drivers, where as women just stop in the way.

this is ofc all my opinion, just thought i'd share, i feel there is no reason for me to NOT get in a car with a woman.

in my experience, men arnt taking risks (at least the men who arnt shit drivers), rather they have the ability to drive a way that (some) woman cant.

women drive slow and claim thats safe. driving slow is NOT safe, OAPs are known for this aswell. driving at the speed limit (if conditions permit) is safe. driving 10 mph under it is not.

though on the topic of shit drivers, here is one for you. i stopped half a car behind this old twat at a red light. suddenly he rolled back a bit, that was ok. but then he kept rolling and didnt break so i started beeping. he kept rolling, i kept beeping. untill he was finally resting on my car, by which time i just left my hand on the horn. he still didnt move.

OAP and (some) women shouldnt be allowed out on the roads. OAPs in particular, they can fuck and wobble about with their dodgy hips to the shop and back, at least we will all be a bit safer.

i noticed women passengers are also the worst. your doing 75 on a motorway and they are gripping to the dashboard as if its their final minutes on earth.
