To be honest, I am getting a lil annoyed at the spam on my uni e-mail account saying 'someone has posted on someonelses wall which has nothing to do with you but here's a notification anyway'.

Anyone know how to turn it off?

Go to Account -> Notifications, then turn off what you don't want to be emailed.
