You can reason why certain things are wrong, but in the end you don't do them because they're wrong. Not because a god has forbidden it, not because they're illegal, but simply because they're wrong. There may be some discussion about what is wrong and what is right, but that's a different matter altogether .

My bf asked me an interesting question the other day, he said "if you dont believe in god why don't you break the law? whats to stop you murdering people if you don't believe you'll be judged?"

I fail to see any logic in this question tbh. I don't believe for a second there is a God, but that doesn't have to mean I wanna end a persons life or break the law. They have the right to live as much as me. I think we all break laws, some break not so serious laws and some break more serious laws. And does your bf think it's only ppl who don't believe in God who commit murder? I can tell him that is far from true. What stops me from commiting murder and breaking laws has to do with common sense which was made up by humanity over the ages. I don't see how that has anything at all to do with religion ^^

If something it has to do with intelligence. I don't deserve to live more than someone else just cuz' someone is weaker than me and I don't kill ppl just cuz' I can like some animals in our world do.

Science is bunk - the entire history of man, for every single thing science has told us about the planet, ten "scientific facts" have been proven wrong...

We aren't even near our age of discovery yet, and with so many scientists claiming gospel on their work, conveniently forgetting to look back at those who came before, claiming that the earth is flat, the earth is the centre of the universe and all kinds of other random stuff...

Scientists are fallable, because once they get the answer they want they consider it the right answer, without knowing whether it is, it's just the one they expected...

nope science is about questioning things, so once something "new" is discovered people will start questioning it, it will likely then be amended/changed/improved etc thus scientific progress

(hence the idea of the world being flat prooved wrong, the only reason it was thought flat was because of egotistical maniacs running the world who couldnt grasp the idea that there was land out there that they couldnt get to )

unfortunatly it, like any other human endeavour suffers from human faults like greed, ego's etc
