I would like to know which forum home display you would prefer?

From left to right the pictures are Choice 1, Choice 2, Choice 3, Choice 4

2 and 3 look like they take up to much space. If you really want the extra info for the sub forums then 4 looks best. Quite happy with how they are now though.

I'll vote for one, but would be fine with 4 as well.

I like 3, but I'd like the numbers removed :(

I'd guess option 3, however test it yourself at 1024x768 and see how it works. I know most of us are gamers and run at higher resolutions, but that's the minimum I'd recommend that the style has to work well at.

Also, what use are the numbers? They only display the number of posts/threads in the immediate subforum and not all the subforums under that.

The style is repeated if a parent forum has subforums.

I'm saying that I'd expect it to show the total of all subforums, otherwise it's pointless adding it.

3 is more suitable for someone with a shit resolution, but how many people here run at 800x600 lol

4 is my favourite because it has the best scope for menu enlargement. If you look at the RPG section in screenshot 2 its wasting too much space on the right hand side. Screen 3 is fine, but if you add any more games into that section it will look poor.

I think Screen 4 is the best

Bahumat you have just said exactly what I was thinking. 3 wastes space on my widescreen monitor.

Is there a way that the scheme can scale for higher res displays? I know not everyone has a widescreen monitor, but this looks squished on my monitor.

sorry, let me explain that better. Is there a way that the scheme can scale so it looks like option 4 on a higher res monitor? to take advantage of all the blank space?

Looks a little bit crap at the moment.

The forum home page is reasonable, but the subforums need a left and right margin - they're too close together at the moment.

However if you go into the Dark Age of Camelot section you'll see that the subforums are spread out over the entire width. This is an absolute pain if you run at high resolutions as your eyes have to to scan the entire width of the page.

GReaper,

Thanks for highlighting the fault with the Gallery, I believe it is now fixed. Could you try and upload an image from your account please.

As for attaching files I will look at the perms for this sub-forum.

Finally, I see what you mean. Will have a looksy at the mod and see what I can figure out.

Uploading works, but there are a few other errors with the gallery. It seems to be loading the following URLs but they all error 404:

https://forums.freddyshouse.com//images/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif
https://forums.freddyshouse.com/images/loading.gif
https://forums.freddyshouse.com/images/closelabel.gif

It's also doing the same for avatars, such as:

https://forums.freddyshouse.com//image.php?u=90

Which also needs changing.

Hmm, not one of those links gives a 404 error for me.
