Firefox seems to be the most popular browser here, but which email client gets the thumbs-up?

I've had a problem with Outlook/OExpress not importing my old email database files(.dbx). I had to install Eudora, which imported without any problems... then outlook was happy to rip the files from Eudora :|

If there's a client which can be used to access the same email database from win2k/xp/linux, so I don't need to worry which OS I'm in when I download emails... that would be perfect. Something which is easy to backup emails with aswell, as I reformat regularly ;)

Thunderbird, Firefoxes bedfriend. Multiple account support with individual settings (like mail retention times), themes if you want them and numerous handy extensions.

Another task I'll hopefully never have to rely on MS for :)

Yep, Thunderbird is quite nice now. *licks the spamfilter for good measure*

Yup, Thunderbird is qualiteh.

Although, that said, I use Outlook at the moment, purely because it's got a calendar as well, and Sunbird (the Mozilla Calendar app) is still under development.
