As I'm a 50 shield specced pally with some MoB and high parry, I've been wondering which of the 2 the game mechanism calculates first.

Would going for a high Mastery of Parry actualy hinder your chances to block and perform Brutalize ?

Thanks fer the info

Yeah, I tend to think parry too... since getting MoParry 2 upto 3 my "block"-rate seems to have gone down, but I parry alot more.

If it's proven to be parry think I'll bring it down to MoP 1, 2 at the most

the order is something like

miss>bt>evade>intercept>guard>parry>block

im probably missing fumble and other such things but blocks at the end of the list iirc

evade, parry, block then calcs miss im sure of that order, as for where bt,intercept, and guard come not sure but bt and intercept prolly first and i'd guess at guard between parry, block.

Parry is calculated before block. Hence why my 50+14 MOB3 paladin with a total of 1+4 in parry...parries!

where does intercept (brittle guard or player) fit in ?

I think it gets calculated before guard, I mean I've never blocked for someone before intercept goes down... so must be before guard at any rate

Think intercept is last before hit, not sure about brittle guard but on a mage i'd guess it's something similar.
