I've been playing a skald for quite a while now, and I see 2 main reasons for the current lack of them:
- First of all their overall efficiency in RvR. What once was a well-balanced class is now a class below average. Patch after patch they've become a bit weaker compared to other classes. No defense, below average damage output etc, tons of more like this. Then there's our hp: unbuffed I have around 1400 hp, and that's with toughness 1 and aug con 1. Now some people say that a skald's damage output is fine, since they are a support class. This is complete bs imho: the only thing they have to offer to a group in RvR is speed, the other "group" chants are a joke (for ex the 700 range on dmg add). The last TL report is a step in the right direction though: TL report
- The 2nd reason is the fun-factor of the class. Where other classes got some kind of noverlty in some patches, skalds got absolutely zip. So I suppose a lot of people were bored of the class and rolled a new class.
