there was something on teh radio about that this morning. after wondering if you should bother buying a big tv the guy came to the conclusion the pub is better.

it serves beer. the screen is bigger. i agree. least i wont see your smelly face out in manc anywhere though :p

i'll not, but ill be going down to play snooker as the pub isnt allowed a tv anymore meaning i will get a table for certain :p

Nah. Takes me 35 seconds to walk from my flat to the pub :)

The landlord wasn't sure if it would be really busy down the pub or empty, hence this thread.

And yeah I live about 5 mins away from the walkabout, but I think town will be too busy to get a seat unless I went down dead early.

We are going to get there for 12, few beers to get us in the mood before kick off at 2. Then off to a house party in Early..Hope I remember the game :<

Bollocks.

Packed and smokey, can't see the TV properly for all the people, waiting to be served another beer, and paying over the odds for the privilige.

Beer in fridge at home + Big TV on + kids to fetch and carry = win :)

I smoke, so that's not a good plan - I just don't like a place getting too smoky :)

As for atmosphere, just turn the TV up loud and listen to the croud :D
