I have spent the last 3+ days trying so hard to get a group and there are one or two every now and again at the Pookas near basar and thats IT

I mean come on. there cant be only 5 lvl 24 - 26s on at a time who XP.

I now see why the hibby was such a bad realm once.

Too bad we dont have Darkness Falls often as it's the best place for 20-30 imo.

I would think if you actually tried to assemble your own group and get something going instead of smoking weed with Fagan in MM you would have no reason to complain. I recently lvl'd my Hero from lvl22 to 28 in one day with a group and we had no problems whatsoever to find replacements for ppl that left. Infact assembling the group we're no real problem either.

Give this guy a medal.

Mind sharing your endless amount of knowledge and good ideas where to xp 20-30 in hibernia?
For ppl exping their first char there it's not exactly easy.

Gotta agree that there's plenty of 15-20s in the game.

Gotta say that I rather soloed to 20 in the end.

I had several groups in the last days and with one exception they all made me lose more xp than I gained... Don't get me wrong, there's always a first time to play this game, but its annoying when you try to get some order in the pulling etc and nobody is listening

Hopefully it's getting better now :) Soloing is just too boring and groups still have a much better potential

I soloed to 35, it was better than grouping mostly. All the people around didn't seem to realise you can pull more than 1 orange mob with a group of 8. :p

I got my ment to level 28 recently, but I'm struggling to find groups again. This is my first character so I'd be grateful for any advice on where the best places to pickup groups are.

I solo'd a bit on mist wraiths and wrath sprites in Moher for a bit. Didn't see a single other person there. Took a look in the dungeon nearby (koalinth caverns I believe?) totally empty. Ran back to TNN area, flagged myself, did /who 28 29 to see where everybody else was.. most people my level were in a dungeon called Coruscating mine, so I went there.. mobs in the entrance were purple to me(!) and the only groups in the LFG list were in the very late 30s. Exited. Solo'd a bit on the siog seekers nearby, took a horse back to familiar ground.. Headed off to lough gur, again everybody in the area seemed to be in the late 30s. Took a look in that other dungeon (treibh something?) and it was also completely empty.. etc.

Think I'm doing something wrong :) Like I said, any advice on where I should be looking would be great, or if anybody wants to try and get something going via the forum; it'd be very well received by me. :)

Hey Mu :)
Your doing nothing wrong mate, 25-30 can be tough imho. Treibh Cailte can be a great dungeon, but is often empty unfortunately. Some classes can start in coruscating mine at 28, but others wait till 30 minimum. You can try pookhas near the tower in basar (by the bridge above ardee) and the other pookhas, etc just to the right of the druim ligen entrance, as you approach it. Also, some groups go to mobs in the frontier, not far from the rvr side of druim ligen. Coruscating mine is certainly the place to be heading for though. Unless things changed drastically since my ns was there, CM is THE place to go from 30-40, first at the top levels of the mine, then eventually progressing to the pit ..... just as spragg den works. When you find you cant get a group, if Darkness Falls is open, DEFINATELY go there, you are sure to have a better chance of grouping in there.

Try to find a group in CM at level 28. If you're lucky you get invited and level fast so you can stay in cm. If you don't get into a group, just solo. I did level 28 at mist wraiths in Cliffs of Moher with my light eld, very fast exp. Level 29 I went to Odin's Gate and solo'd some chickens I ran into near uppland (was lost so decided to exp :p) and the bandits. Bandits are orange/red con but they try to shoot you first with their bows so you have plenty of time to blast.

Then at level 30 go to CM and hope for / make groups.

solo might be it =)

People are either bored of beeing in random groups, and play a solo char, or they arrange a team they stick with, which seldom go to pookhas since there is things that do less damage, have less aggros dont diesease and such around + they drop more items and cash :D

Point soloed more or less all the way from level 9-44 with more then a few exceptions, but seldom giving me any major source of xp anyways =)

im just getting tired of grouping at lvl -30 because ppl act like n00bs... was in spraggon den with my chanter yesterday to get some XP(solo) before i had to log and then a Full group came buy and a guy from <Jupitor> started to hit the mob i had my pet on. So lets face it, either we make fixed XP groups for the ppl that knows hib and have a lvl 45+, and know how to play this game, or solo all the way till 35+, but that can be a problem 2, Execunia ( Executor, <Ithil Galad>) said in /gu that he was in the biggest n00b group in CM pit (belive that was a 36 - 40 group ).. so are we doomed to solo to 45 so we can get to fins groups ?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact people seem to be more into powerleveling these days then XP'ing in a group of 8 with their own level like people used to do.

I bet most of them havent even heard of KC or TC... nowadays it seems normal to go into CM when ur level 22

well...newb :p

You don't even have a lvl 50 char and that means you haven't tried rest of teh game yet.

tankster how can u exp in CM at 22 ??

Play a bard and grop with a lvl 30+ tank :)

Very often groups at lower lvls don't work very well...always some newb who ruins it and group die and most leave group. Then it's you and a ranger or NS left in group or something...yey.

With my ment I soloed/duoed with point :p to lvl 45 or so. And allso some after that when not in a fin group.

If you're a light mage, just solo trees, thats good and steady xp all the way. It's a bit worse for bards etc though, that need gorups. But then you should first think out where is good place to hunt at my lvl with a group. Then make a CG where you cg inv the peeps you need for the group, when this is set and done, tell em where to meet and start xp (make sure everyone stay a while).

lvl 20-25 walking rocks and sprag den
lvl 25-30 get a pbaoer or 2 a few tanks and healer and kill 3 and 3 irewoods in collory.
lvl 30-40 gruop in CM or solo irewoods
lvl 40-44 hate those lvls :p but xp group in EZ are good :D

The best lvl24-28 levelground i've seen so far is Irewoods in Mt. Collory, Recently lvl'd my hero thru the lvl20-range, mande lvl22 - 28 on one day at the Irewoods, it will require some knowledge of how to play in a group to manage them tho, the group i was in had:

3 tanks (Hero,Champ and NS (Varjozek, and he did pretty damn well))
2 Healers (1 drood & 1 bard)
3 PBAE (lucky here i guess, but i'm quite sure we could have done it with 1 pbae and 2 other casters too)

average pull varied from 1.2 - 1.5 million exp (and thats a shitload at lvl24)

We once under this session at the irewoods needed a new MR character so we asked a mana mentalist to join us, he however prefered Pookas at ligen (which give 300k - 500k exp per pull), god i felt sorry for him but i didnt bother to convince him, found another bard =) )

Once u hit lvl29 you can manage gemgetters in CM with a decent group, I made groups and went for the minipit, amazing exp at the low 30's, and believe me, the minipit-exp will own the pit-exp by lightyears, average pull in the minipit gives u 4 - 6 million exp, where rocks/wee-were's/phanom miners give 4.5 - 7 million per pull, but in those cases ur looking at massive downtime, and a 2 minute fight for every pull. even at lvl 34 where the mobs in the minipit starts to get orange you will get more exp there due to faster pulls, i honestly feel sorry for the lads that go to the pit at lvl35-, to kill rocks etc would drive me nuts.

Pit has some good mobs tho, but u need to be lvl35+ to deal with them, Abysmals are decent, xp usually varies 6 - 11 million per pull, depending on groupsetup you could be looking at massive DT here aswell, with a good group u can pull 2 at once and get quite decent exp. the best imo is groovers, due to the fact that they baf (and they are more fun ). Something that you might want to think of when dealing with abysmals, is that you will do fine with only 1 or 2 tanks, the trick here is to get as much frontloaded dmg as possible, and that means get as many casters as u can get and and have 1 or 2 tanks deal with the taunting, 1 or 2 healers may be a wise choice too.

Something that surprises me is that quite alot of ppl just sit on their butt and wait for ppl to send invites to them or some passing by group to invite them, and not check with ppl around them if there's spots open.

anyway, CM will become a living h*ll once u start reaching the late 30's, if there's not enough ppl in CM to start ur own group a good advice could be to check for itemhunting lvl50's. ask them if u can tag along to leech the exp. quite alot of them are nice fella's and will let u in. (I got some great help from Gonli at lvl37, thx m8 for ur help and ur patience ).

The best place at late 30's is Innis i think, you're not likely to get any invites to Banshee or EZ groups but a decent group can chainkill pookas which is decent XP for a lvl or 2.

At lvl39 i started going to Banshees, went with some lvl40 fellas, and i had no problem whatsoever to tank them, my trusty shield blocked ALOT (better make sure u have a good shield, i was using an Obsidan Large shield (bonus 25% and +4 shields, common drop at banshees),

A common missconception is that tanking is all about lvls, i dare say that a lvl38/39 shieldspecced tank will tank just as good if not better than a lvl40/41 LW tank. alltho not alot of ppl will believe you if you ry to convince them =).

Once you get into the mid 40's (sometimes even in the early 40's) you will encounter the notorious "I was just offered a fins spot, so i gotta go", there is nothing that pisses me off more than that, especially when the groups only warden that has capped exp as it is runs off to the fins (usually a 20 minute trip from alain bin if u dont suicide) and in the process ruins your group most of the time, my best advice is to put these ppl on ur hatelist and avoid inviting them to your groups, some will have the curtesy to tell you before the group runs off that they have #1 spot at fins, which is ok, atlesat then you can decide to look for someone else or to have them along anyway.

My final and best advice really to ppl who don't get a group easily, simply start your own. you will experiance the pain of the ppl that can't wait for the group to be formed, but you will also get alot of friends that will invite you to their groups at later stages, also try to remember the names of the ppl that behaves like arseholes or destroys your group by leaving it when u finally got one together so you can avoid them in the future.

Oh well, enough rambling from me, wrote a whole lot more than i intended hehe =), hope its to some help for somebody =))
