So on an EAUK server just now. 20 people. The 2 second jerks between tank updates meant that if a tank was on the move, it was utterly impossible to hit. HO HUM!!!!!!

What connection are you on at the moment? and is this a problem you are having on ALL maps. I do get some warping myself (using nildram adsl) but mostly only on the really big maps like el Alemain.

Well if you get warping and you're on ADSL, that's pretty bad.
I'm only on single line ISDN. The previously mentioned 2 second update interval thing was on Battle of the Bulge.

Uh. As for all maps, I don't really know. I tend to avoid the bigger games nowadays because of this. But it's certainly happened on lots of them, as soon as the number of players goes above something like 16.

HEH. I just tried a 46 player EAUK server as an experiment in insanity, and it was. Grenades getting stuck in midair, bombs dropped by planes exploding while the plane was stalled 5 seconds' flying distance behind, and of course lots of inexplicable random deaths. Boyo. I don't see how all the people on there, a fair few of whom had a higher ping than I, tolerate it. Of course I couldn't ask them, as none of the messages ever arrived.

well

well its expected seeing i not seen a server with its rates capped yet, not even ea`s own it should be known by now the server cant handle the bw by the clients and process it all, to much incoming info and it borks barks and dies a horrid death.

has any server admin tried to cap the max rate for clients 10k is more than enough, but they say be we got a 3 zillion meg pipe, its the server cant handle its incomings, its a bug in the server nowt to with cpu or bw just cant handle the netcode, limit the bw to each in all and see if it makes a difrence, nowt to lose is there
