a) Concentrate on classes balancing issues. You feel there is still a lot of imabalance between realm classes that makes the game unfair.

b) Concentrate on redesigning the RVR geography. You feel New Frontiers has not been good for RVR in general. You like some of the aspects of it but you would like to see a radical reworking of the dymanics.

c) You like the RVR geography but you would like more RVR content. Perhaps instanced RVR, did areas to RVR not effected by keep warefare.

d) Introduce more classes to add more dimensions

e) Increase or decrease group sizes.

f) add additional stealther classes.

g) You would like another PVE expansion which offers RVR incentives (new abilities better equipement)

h) Nothing you like the game as it is

i) Something else.

Actually despite it sounding really odd i'd like to see ALOT of new classes each realm/old class balance simply because it would make rvr alot more amusing/interesting rather than the same old setups/same old fotm groups - and possibly a Legal duel area so people can actually enjoy dueling and not having some retard reporting them for abit of fun

definitely this one, even something very minor such as teleporter to agra milegate for each realm could make agramon much more active and there would be no "need" for any realm to allow irvr etc..

I voted for RVR geography.

The class balancing is already being worked with, even though it looks like Mythic may be overdoing things like they usually do.

I'd like them to change dock locations, etc and make the terrain more varied and unique to each realm instead of the boring copy'n paste it is now.
An RvR area that looks like Iarnwood would be fun.
As it is now, i feel like i'm only fighting around, under or on bridges.

and place a "easy" to take keep in the middle of Agramon too (like old DC in OF), the realm who had it would have "lets say" 20 % bonus to rp, but the bonus would only be inside Agramon.

I'm mostly happy about the game, RvR geography and some class tweaks would be nice though.

Class Balancing haha....they just fuck up somethingelse while doing it.Why can't they just watch RvR and listen to the Community and then doing some minor tweaking??????

Instead they just throw in stupid new Stuff with the hope it will make it better!

I really think Mythic has no clue what they are doing. :D

Agreed, let us start with lowering the growth rate on Defenders Rage. A 1.20 frontal "anytimer" is just ... stupid. :)

As for the poll...

Changes in New Frontiers... it would be nice if they did something about the water transition system.

the reason ppl go to agramon is for 8v8,not to fight for keeps..

roleplayers can zerg keeps all they want in NF zone,but please leave agramon to the serious players :/

Yeah, I've seen plenty of serious players out there in the last weeks. The server is full of them!

disagree if people got everything for free they would get bored very quick, just like when you DL an average game more often than not you dont play it for longer than an hour, if you pay money out for it you give it a little longer :)

more things to do in rvr, keep takes are boring for a lot of people, as is fg v fg and zerging, so more to do in the frontier, the realm missions were a good idea, maybe add some more to it.

The problem with marketing DaoC as an 8v8 game is that to someone who has never played comparing daoc to guild wars for group v group action is a no brainer.

DaoC's USP is large scale warfare.


I hope they tweak existing classes instead of adding new ones we all know will be OP'ed.
I think combat whilst mounted on horses would be nice, maybe even add belgic chariots for celt hibbies ;)
New terrain would be cool, the terrain in the starter tutorial is excellent, if all NF looked that good and interesting I'd be a happy man.

If they added new stealthers to Mid/Hib then a 'minstrel' type support stealther would incourage stealth zerging even more, hib and mid stealth groups are doomed to be at a disadvantage to alb stealth groups when it comes to utility.

Wrong forum - try the one titled fantasy counter-strike. This DAOC is the one that's a mmorpg with the unique realm versus realm system :)


Keep working on class balances is the way to go, with perhaps some geographical changes (and maybe a portal) inside Agramon to keep the fg'ers happy...though I still wonder if they'd use it... :p

Agramon needs a carrot, so people would start going there again. Some RP boost for everyone on Agramon area perhaps.

Imo at the moment only place stealthers go and get fights is now bridges, there's just no point on going anywhere else since there will be no one to fight. Do something about that.
Plan frontiers so, that there will be people travelling around again. I guess people using aggramon again would help that too. Also change docks so that you can intrecept people running from keep -> dock on every realm. Buidling a town around dock would be nice. City terrain would be ideal for assasins in many ways. Also it would be just realistic that kingdom at size of Albion etc, should have a big port on their outer border instead of some small summer cottage type of pier.

They will keep adding new classes it's the only way they can keep people interrested though I do agree they need to sort the balance of the old classes instead of adding new classes but that will never happen.

I'd like some more RvR content (because the class balance will never happen anyway ;)).
Bit like another game I used to play have some NPC towns in the RvR area and if you capture those towns you get extra guards at keeps/towers (maybe with special abilities depending on what NPC town you capture) or if you capture one in the enemy realm the NPC's will attack a keep of the enemy every few minutes (so if you don't stop them your keep will go down) and the more NPC "towns" you capture the more guards will help defend/attack.
Should be around 3 of those towns in each realm.

To capture such towns you need to kill a "boss" mob in such a town which should be quite hard (so you need atleast 2-3 fg to do it).
Sure you can argue that PvE might not have a place in RvR but I do think such a thing would add alot to the RvR scene.

Would personally like Mythic to redesign NF so that it encourages people to spread out, rather than just sit at bridges all the time. Stand-offs can be fun; however, only in moderation. Bridges seem to promote people to just wait at them rather than hunt around.
Bridges are the new milegates, stealthers use them as bottlenecks to find other stealthers and possible targets. I would like to hopefully get rid of any bottlenecks; maybe put them (milegates; bridges are obviously more difficult, less water = less bridges though, so could work) out of the way, but within reach so stand-offs can still happen, also leaving areas that would be logical for stealthers to find one another. It seems at the moment you have to go through the bottlenecks to get to any possible fights; however, there is obviously more freedom to avoid them in NF, I still feel they are too central to all of the action due to the amount of water.
An insta-port version of old keeps (very spread out) would probably be a nice idea; however, a bottleneck is probably needed to prevent portal camping en-masse. :/
Water is annoying; there is too much of it imo.

Consider more content to improve RvR variety perhaps also; however, not too central to distract from current focus. A PvE 'capture the town' idea would probably cause all RvR to be hovering around the town(s), which would be no worse than just camping bridges all day.

RvR content

RvR is what makes this game special, but the siege aspect of it is distinctly unrewarding compared to the RP haul for just player-ganking. I'd like to see siegeing - you know, the actual realm war - made vastly more rewarding in terms of RPs.
