Whats wrong with Midgardians?

Yesterday evening.
Lots of hibs (arround 30) at emain......
3-4 groups of midgardians....

Why the hell u cannot wait for others and move as a regular army?
I cannot understan why group of 8 is going 4th time into battlefield only to be ganked by 30 hibs. Are u giving them free rps? Where is strategy? I cannot find it.

And after 5th time ganked by hibs one person from one group told me-
"im logging, too many hibs here"
and other-
"i prefere to go and be killed than wait for more peoples".

Im strongly thinking about changing realm.

I know the feeling Derianna.

The times groups of 8 have shot past my group using uber skald speed and flown off towards the bowl. Sure enough cpl of mins later all their death messages appear, and then we get there and the same happens to us.

What annoys me is that everyone then gates back over and they do exactly the same thing....... makes you wonder sometimes it really does.

Had the same problem later on...lot's of peeps left llittle old slow me to walk to MMG. I duly got paralyzed by Mallus and couldn't even get my hammer out. Result = dead kobbie resser.

Hats off Mallus, you got me there.

Got better though. Once we started moving as a group we toook DC and then ganked the alb parties at AMG.

Still a shame to see ppl running to camp TK. Even worse when I get res requests expecting me to run alone to save them...Mallus, Iziz, Alpha etc rubbing their hands at that prospect

Well me being the one that said im going because hibs and albs had been in emain all day, no large force of mids were there the hole time, the same around 15mids kept coming back but that was it.
If you wanna wait at the TK for a few hours trying to get people thats upto you, i play game for fun and that isnt fun, i find it much more fun trying to pick a few enemys of here and there that get split from the main force. If i get ganked then i get ganked.
Also people out of the grp wanted to leave so we went for 1 last run.
And if your worried about giving people rps then dont go RvR all i can say, being a caster im free rps in any battle so im used to it

Cheers for not resing me near our tk derianna where u had about 3 mins to res me before a bunch of albs came and killed your ass. I /yelled and also i PMed you so dont say sommat like oh i didnt see you etc. Next time your dead near me ill ignore u and leave you to release

I was going to log when i port emain.
I saw u, but simply forgot about u..... everyone from a group which i was working with can say that i was TIRED long before i ported emain (arround 3).

My mistake was porting emain- i didnt even noticed all /send which apeared in my window, so please forgive me, and dont forget that noone is perfect.....

in answer to the people who continue time and time again to run in a single grp, without waiting for others (im not talking about waiting for the next port im talking about actually moving with all ported people to AMG) are n00bs whatever level they may be. level ego is so common its ridiculous. "i wont listen to him, he is 10 levels lower than me". haha!

my new alt character found it extremely frustrating in the caledonia battle ground trying to organise the people and tell them to stop camping the alb TK, where you might get lucky and kill 1 alb, before he runs back to saftey, often the pursuer would pull guards onto the mids to. it took 1000 yells, it was damn annoying, and still some people dont listen (hats off to Sledge the retard).

but when you do get it to work, and people see and experience, "wow, tactics do work" then things get easier.

3 massive ambushes, wiping out all alb forces, a keep taken, a keep defended against massive numbers (in the lords room no less).

what im saying is, alot of players have been playing this game for ages, they have got to high levels, and still, have not experienced or any idea of tactics other than "oooh, ill run in, i might get 1 enemy before i get ganked". Thats nobodies fault per se, its just they dont know any different, they have not experienced a well led tactics using force.

after the successes we had on the caledon bg's as soon as i ported in after then, i would be immediately asked to make a cg and organise the troops, this is not to blow my own trumpet, just to say that people can and do recognise that tactics work, once they get to take part in them, and yes, mezz first wins in small scale actions, and yes alot of people say this game is not too skilful on an individual basis, but to be honest, a well led and organised force will obliterate a "n00b" force obsessed with getting 1 bolt/shot/hit in every single time.

running to amg as fast as u can is not tactics
hitting the mezz button before your opponent is not tactics
camping a tk is not tactics

guess what, if you listen to some of the guys who are trying the unenviable task of trying to organise some RvR forces, you will A) get 100% more enjoyment and B) ultimately get tons more RP.

and i dont agree with the statement above of "i play this game for fun, i would rather get ganked than wait" that is utter baloney, why not instead, go scout, find out the enemies positions and numbers, by that time the next port is in, you join forces, and kick the enemies butt - intelligence wins battles.

and finally, this is all just my opinion, but im one of those guys who spends alot of time doing /yell move back from the TK out of sight" , in a sometimes vain attempt to get some organised RvR going, but i stand by the fact that, for every 10 times the middies dont listen, the one time they do listen, is usually such a sweet and crushing victory on our opponents, its still worth trying.

If you find people who prefer having fun over winning so offensive please feel free to leave.

I'd hate to see a 50 healer go, but if winning is all you care about you might want to try albion, you'd probably feel right at home.

You weren't there, you don't have the facts, so keep your 'helpful' comments to yourself.

We waited 3! or so ports for more people to come, but there just weren't enough people with it being so late on a Sunday night.

With other people losing patience and moving out our group decided to move out with them, save Derianna who prefered staying at the tk.

We lured a number of albs (i think) into the trees near amg and killed them before superior numbers came and finished us.

And you know what? It was a fun little fight, and so what if we lost?

Of course, i need not have typed this had you read Release's post properly.

Oh yeah, i agree with much of what you said about tactics, but the insulting edge to your post that seemed directed at Release (and those of us with him by extension) just wasn't warranted.

When some1 yells a 100 times and keeps sending I tend to classify them as annoying and ignore them.

Ask once and nicely and if im able (group/mobs/players) you got your rezz.
