What's the point in +acu as a healer class?

Atm I'm remaking my template and I put +24 acuity cap in it (kinda unavoidable with Immolated Ring, Belt of Moirai, Cloudsong etc), but honestly I'm not sure whether worth to fill that cap out.

So I would like to know, what's the point to get +acu?

1. Power?
How much is the +% / acu points then? Wouldn't be +power pool % better?

2. DMG? (as smiter)
It's a bit strange, 'cause I remembered when I bought Augmented Acuity (like 2 years ago) then my cap went up. Now I can't tell the difference tho haven't tested it properly yet.

3. Any other benefit?

its a casting stat, so it will affect your dmg and your power pool, this goes for any class with spells, charisma does same for skalds etc

Thanks alot! Do you know any formula how to calculate power pool growth with the +acu?

taken from guild boards:

18 emp after 200, is roughly 8% power for druids

so 25 is ~10-11%
