I guess a few things spring to mind.

When I was young I hit the curb on my bike and flew off almost knocking myself out. An elderly lady came out, picked me up, called my parents and put plasters on all my cuts and bruises. On top of that she drove me and mum back home.

I guess the biggest one would be my mum. Just before I discovered Barrysworld I suffered a massive crisis of confidence, bordering on a full blown nervous breakdown just after my 20th birthday. She helped pay all my bills and supported me financially while I had 6-8months off work and spent all her time ensuring my mind was kept active. Without her help I would never have been were I am today.
