What's the most you hit someone for?

Hate that shield thing too, damned annoying when i see a kobbie from range, bolt him, and it turns out he aint a caster and has a shield and.. oh dear he's blocked most of my damage.

But best damage? hmm. Capped out at ~ 620 ( i think) with my spec bolt + ~300 crit b4 on an orange con alb mage who didn't spot me leanin against the alb wall when he came through the gates. Made me wish i hadn't wasted mana on stunning him first.

compare the first hits

his for 20 (sword) mine for 180 (1 h forged darksteel pick hammer)

he died in 4 hits...
and casters well doesnt matter what con they are always 200+ often 300+
and that as a 36ish lowbie heh

On a paper caster by the name of Iskander

Perforate artery = 858
hit with axe = 869(+22)
Proc = 98

So 1847 total

Is the total dmg;
1) 369
2) 481
3) 414

becouse I've hit lowlvl mobs and gotten style bonus greater then "you hit for" dmg

or are all the dmg with in ( ) already counted for ?
if so how come "you hit for" dmg can be less then style bonus dmg, when penalty/bonus dmg are + aswell ?

1 - +45 from added by style, +67 from damage bonus against mob/player, 257 base damage.

everything in brackets is already included in final damage, you should only add figures without brackets (actual dmg + dmg add + crit + proc + etc)

you hit for what it says you hit for. the rest is pure information.

ie.
You perform Razor Edge perfectly ( +45 )
You hit Lamus for 369 ( +67 )

then u hit him for 369.

the first w/ the razor edge (+45) is how much you gain from your style.

the (+67) is you type of dmg (ie. thrust) bonus or penalty vs the type of armor you target is using (ie. chain), and I think that thrust/slash/crush resist is calculated out on the (+/- XX) also.

when you hit a lvl 0 mob for ie. +900 on your style and only do 4XX, then thats because its you cap.

Well dmg... 751 on ardok if u r talking about casters, can be higher, but ya know, crits happens mostly when u r winning = forgot to even make a SS...

600+ always on tanks, after patch (1.49 or 1.50 can´t remember) even easier, and 975 on blues (if lucky) and greens (no matter AF ya know ), though it´s V few ocasion that I can pbaoe ppl ^ ^u

oh! 706 on nolby last time he tried to kill me, was lucky to get 2 missing (+1 BTed) arrows while messing up with wrong qb and killed him in 2 hits... he was cursing my luck in #celticfist ^ ^u

a lvl 37 actually hitting a lvl 50 and killing is pretty funny, and i got 2shotted by hulbur right after this happened =))


(and yes i know there is 99% if not 100% chance to hit if target is sitting, tho she stood up jsut as i did the PA , cuz u can see a lvl 37 easy as 50 )

think the last time i actually remember my dmg was 930 or so on a yellow infil, he jus took off his armour so i couldnt resist a nice smack got +300 or 400 crit also.
I also remeber hitting tahngarth for 666 at amg one time
