What's the difference between an MS Smartphone ( mobile ) and a PDA running Windows Mobile 2003 ?

Thinking of getting the MPX220 when it comes out, and a PDA.

Is there little point in getting both or is there a major difference ?

One is tailored for Styli input (Windows Mobile 2003 for Handheld Devices) the other a numeric keypad (Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphones).

Both use the .net compact framework, so a lot of apps run on both with very little tweaking...

The MPX220 is a nice little phone, but personally I like the C500 which I've been using for a couple of weeks now and is frankly, 'teh win'

I was a big fan of the SPV and wanted the E200 but it had too many problems.

Was waiting for the next installment when they released the C500 and I thought it was one of the most ugly things around ( sorry :/ ).

Was kinda gutted and hated clam phones but the MPX220 seems to be the only option left for me.

However, just thinking if I got an MPX220 and a IPaq H5550 would it be a stupid move?

A mate of mine is telling me to go for the XDAII ( he has one ) but I think that for a phone, it's ugly and out of place :/
