Whats the best caster??

Just thought id ask here since its prolly the best place for it

What class is the best caster for bg1, in each realm.

Im asking coz im gonna start a caster on excal, and ofc want the best there is

Have tryed most alb casters on pryd. But havnt tryed any of the other realms out yet.

Depends what you're looking for, Damage or Utility.

(This isnt taking pbaoe into account, as I find they underperform in thidranki.)

Albion, Damage = Fire Wiz, Utility = Mind Sorc.

Midgard, Damage = RC/Darkness Runemaster, Utility = Suppression RM.

Hibernia, Damage = Light Ment/Light Chanter/Light or Void Eld, Utility = Light Eld, Mana Ment.


Personally, I think the best level 24 caster would be a Light specced Eld;

102 delve dd, 15 second aoe mez, -45% vision nearsight, -36 Dex/Quick debuff, and a baseline 5 sec stun too!

Dunno about other realms mate but if its fun your looking for in Alb as a caster then go Matter Cabalist.
Nearsight is a joy.
AoE DoT is a joy.
Lifetap is a lot of fun 2

the pet's also really nice because any archer that doesn't kill you gets a pet on their behind ^^

1vs1 people just sit down and if its not 1vs1 you get zerged

Best caster or faster caster?

Best caster = fastest caster in my books.

Well I reckon the Half Ogre caster is pretty quick off the mark. This one put on a good spurt of speed for sure. Not sure they can outrun the Avalonian but I dunno I reckon they might have the edge. Mind you I think I could take him in a flat out sprint race if I ditch my axes and potions.

1vs1 light eldie all the way. Nearsight stun and spec nukes mean you should win every 1 vs 1 vs casters, assuming you don't get nearsighted first. Only problem is you are a little slow lacking any sort of speed. If you get rr5 in bg1 next patch though, you get a free SoS ability

Since you can't go over 350rps I don't think you will reach RR5 very fast it says that you can come back when you have 350Rps to thid but you will not gain anymore over this cap in BG1 nice thought though RR5

M8y I have hardly posted on these boards the last few weeks. Jacktheriper ain't me as Freddyshouse creators have said.

He means in NF.... when u can go back into thidr after cap.

All of them buffed too.

My lvl 22 inf wasnt buffed when u killed him. and i even managed to get u to hlf hp before i died proud of mehself for dat. think it was mainly because i think i resisted ur 1st poison... not sure tho it all happened so fast.
but now hes lvl 23 RAWR when get to lvl 24 he shall be teh pwning in thidr.

Most fun I ever had in thid was with a cave spec shammy - I know it's not a traditional caster but Bolt, DD, Dot, Aoe Dot, etc etc make for alot of fun.

I also loved the matter cabby - trust me those boys are great fun. Any thuggy is a pain to face but unless you are fully sced and buffed you can be two shotted by any bolting caster (Void Dritch and RC Runecarver)

Whatever spec you do make sure you spec enough in whichever line gives you self bladeturn. Without it you're archer bait - crit shot will take you out before you do anything....
