What's a good Healing orientated class for Mid?

I have decided , when the PvP server comes out, I'm gonna play a Mid character.

So, I'd like to play a Healing type character in Mid.

But, since I know next to nothing about Midgard, I'd like some advice on the best Race/class combo for someone interested in a Mid character...

The selfbuffs healers will get are gonna kickass!
I'd say go 35 pacification or so and then some 28 in augmentation, 23 mending and then what u might desire.

Find yourself a good template somewhere and try to stick with it.

I would be interested in being the most powerful in healing, followed by buffing and then whatever after that.

Whats the point being a powerful healer when ya being ganked by 10 peeps? Just prolongs ya death!

I say spec pac, mezz in stun - then aug then mend, uber your grp and let em rip into some frozen enemies

Ok, the healing classes of midgard are shamans and healers. Both start as seers, but if you want to be a healer, you have to choose dwarf or norse. If you want to be a shaman, you have to pick troll or kobold.

Both can heal very well, it mostly depends on how they spec. The difference is that shamans get health regen spell instead of the major heal spell. Shamans are the main buffers of the realm, they get the combo spec buffs. Healers get run buff and attack speed buff though, and soon to come a new str/con self buff and self damage shield which will rock, will make healers able to solo very well. Also, healers is the mid class with mana regen, it's in the same line as mezes/stuns/root/attack speed debuff. Healers are the ultimate crowd controllers, however, they have no spells that deal damage. So, if you want to cast some damaing spells, then you want to be a shaman. Shamans get dot, ae dot, bolt and soon to come a dd spell. They also get disease, ae disease, root, ae root, and soon to come insta pbaoe disease.

you forgot the instant and group instant heals

Healers get: heal-ress-mezz-stunn-debuff-buff- speedy and POM.
If you spec in mending for powerful healing,you will be out of mana very soon with long rest coz you cannot get high purity (Pom <--- 45 spec pacification) so , if ù are hunting mobs or defending a keep you can heal and wait for mana ; but if you are fighting ,you are too busy in stunning ,mezzing and defending yourself and often only istant heal may help (unless you get 2-3 healers in group)

If you spec in Augm..well is a choice.But imo ,in a well balanced group, there is a skald for speedy and a shaman for buffs.
Anyway I prefer to offer an excellent POM to my thanes,skalds,runy and shammy rather than a good streng or const.
But this is MY choice.

High Pacif means powerful mezz/ stun, area mezz/stun ,istant mezz/stunn ,i.e.......your group wins and no need to heal so much if the enemies are stunned.
My template is high pacif- medium/low mend - low Augm

Ah, yes, healers get insta heal and insta group heal, shamans don't. That's kinda important
