If you haven't seen it yet then watch "Moon"

Moon (2009) - IMDb

My favourite film of the year (think it was released in 09 though) Shutter Island was good too.

A brilliant TV series The Pillars of the Earth (TV mini-series 2010) - IMDb Some brilliant actors in that who I hope to see more of. Then ofc there is "The walking dead" which is shaping up pretty well.

Oh and Lamp mentioned Event Horizon, one of the best horror/thriller movies ever made, I doubt anyone hasn't seen it but if you haven't then do so immediately.

Watched 12 monkeys this weekend for the first time. I found it very strange. Also watching it with the girlfriend was probably a bad Idea haha.

I've also watched the first 2 seasons of the American Office lately, finding it hilarious!

I can't recommend The Trip enough. Seriously, you have to watch this.

Steve Coogan & Rob Brydon on superb form. Catch all 6 episodes on i-player while you can.

BBC iPlayer - The Trip: The Inn at Whitewell
BBC iPlayer - The Trip: L'Enclume
BBC iPlayer - The Trip: Holbeck Ghyll
BBC iPlayer - The Trip: Hipping Hall
BBC iPlayer - The Trip: The Yorke Arms
BBC iPlayer - The Trip: The Angel at Hetton

I have to say this is one of the best things I have seen on TV in recent years. It is sublime, from the acting, to the stunning scenery of the north and the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack crafted by the deft hand of Michael Nyman. Everything comes together like a dish served by Heston Blumenthal. This will become a classic in years to come and will most likely be used for students who are wanting to study beautiful film making.

The comedy served up by Messrs Coogan and Brydon act merely as a backdrop for something far more dark going on in the bleak countryside, all of which seem to make this a post-modern classic love story, and like every love story there is a certain amount of tragedy, seemingly around the corner at any given moment.

Michael Winterbottom deserves the most praise. This is just fantastic stuff, and it's certainly not a run of the mill comedy in the vein of "Gavin & Stacey" or even " Alan Partridge", this is far more sincere and sombre and gives a real insight into a fractured soul aka. Coogan.

Credit where credit is due, Coogan has gone out on a limb here, and it works brilliantly. I do not think I will see another programme so achingly sad and funny for a long time. Well done to all involved, it has been a pleasure to watch.

I would love to watch it except it has Rob Brydon in it. The man make me want to curl up in a ball and die. I don't know what it is but I just detest him. Steve Coogan is hilarious though.

Some movies I have watched this year

Splice - What a crazy movie that was, if you like ackward alien sex scenes. Then see it :p

Legend of the guardians - Nothing big really, looked a bit overhyped. But I enjoyed it anyway

Iron Man 2 - Suppose everyone here have seen it, because this is a awesome movie :D

Karate Kid/Kung Fu Kid - My expectations were not good when I went to see this movie, but it showed out to be quite the good film.

Rampage - About a kid basically going rampage in his hometown, killing everything, with some full bodysuit armor. Not recommended for the ones that like good stories, but it had a good twist in the end.

The Bounty Hunter - Mmmm, whats not to like about jennifer aniston?

Salt - Just had to watch it because of Angelina Jolie, showed out to be quite good.

all her movies are exactly the same, she plays the same character, she can't act, and she has no gravitas. Yes, she's totally porkable, but acting-wise, she sucks. I'd sooner watch a Kevin Costner movie than something with her in it, and thats saying something. (the only KC Costner movie I can watch is Untouchables - apart from that, I can't stand him)
