What you want in CS 1.2?

Well, we all know that they are working on CS version 1.2
at the moment. But what would you most of all like to be changed about CS?

Should there be just more maps in CS to play? Should certain weapons be made less/more accurate, less/more powerfull? Should the vehicles from version 1.0 make a
return? Give your opinion, what in the current version of CS would you like to be changed in the upcoming version 1.2?

Newbie removal. Remove all the "full install" versions of CS off the sites and mirrors, and only allow "upgrade" versions of 1.2

I know but i'm bored so i'm replying.

I'ld have a rocket launcher for two people to carry that costs loads and slows 'em down massively and takes about 20 secs to reload, but would be f***ing powerful

No that would be shite, what counter-terrrorist unit ( now i am talking real life, SAS and thoose american nuters the tabacco and firearms unit or whatever - u remember the ones involved in WACO) ever carry rocket launchers. For me wehre CS is at now is an apex, they could change nothing in game to improve it, new levels are always appreciated but i want no more changes.

I would like the AWP Officially named the AWP and not AWM.

They should also make it powerful again. Oh, and they should design a skin which is invisible so I can snipe with me AWP without being seen.

Yeah, cos all the worlds SWAT/Special Ops forces all have Rocket Launchers/RPG...yep...they have laser guns too

Mirror damage, which is set to on by default, on all FF servers. So when that twat starts to shoot his team mates at the start of the round, he takes all the damage instead of his victim.
Fewer maze like levels. I'm still not a fan of Italy, Office and Vertigo. IMHO, these maps are way too deathmatch-ie, with people just rushing about looking for frags. Would also like to see a few maps returning to the official map cycle. Arabstreets (the fixed version) and docks_v1 spring to mind, but the return of foption would be nice too.
Complete removal of AS maps. Come on, does anyone really like Tundra or Oilrig?
A new score system to try and encourage team play. Something maybe more along the lines of Quake3TAs awards that go to teams that are correctly completing objectives.

Changing the scoring system si going to bring more problems, with teamm8s competeing to complete objectives with eaach other -rather bigger cash rewards should be given to the entire team for completing objecties.

As for "maze" style maps, no. Office is deathmath true, but Italy aint -not if you ever play it in clanwars. And you say you hate deathmatch yet u want foption and arabstreets back in the map cycle? DO you know what the word hypocrit means?

The only decent suggestion he's made is the mirror damage, but alas, it's **still not** going to happen. They should make it a server side switch, so either

** no damage
** team damage
** team and mirror damage
** mirror damage

I might actually start playing on FF pubs again. Heh, just thought tho...it could still be exploited by the little wanekrs, by just following you around and jumping in front of you any time you start shooting. Suppose in turn you could use them as a human sheild

Foption is a decent map...but it's the **most** maze-like map in the game? You've been smoking the 'hand-rolled' smokes this morning yeah?

Italy is amazing in a clan game. Office is too, but the rounds are WAY too short. Never really liked that map at all.

I love Oilrig, as do many other people (who actually play in clan situations, and not just FFA pubs)

Having massive cash rewards is going to make it easier for the winning team to totally crush a lesser team. You cannot just allow the gulf between the teams to get larger and larger until the loosing team has no possible way back. Public servers are bad enough at the moment with people joining the winning side only, without adding that as a feature. I would rather see say rewards next to the players name (for example, assist for someone killing a nme that is attacking your bomb carrier etc).

Arabstreets (the fixed version) was not that deathmatchie, there were about 2-3 really good choke points. Office and Italy both seem to be too much luck relating to "did you take the correct path and get behind all the other team."
There were lots of good sound triggers in both Arabstreets and foption, but with the exception of the doors in office, there is little way to hunt the nme.

Oh, and Italy is not? Have you ever played Italy on a public server? Within about 15 seconds of being able to move, half the T's are at the CT spawn, half the CTs are at the house, and generally people are running all over the place. At least in Arabstreets there was 2 focus points. The metal door to the chemical factory window, and the front gate to the factory.
Again, this is just what I think, others are welcome to disagree.

Aye, female models would be cool. The look of Sarah Conner in Terminator2 (where she goes to take out Dyson) would be excellent.
The only problem (well, except getting someone to model and skin them) could be with the hitboxes. After all, we have enough problems with model hitboxes at the moment, without adding vastly different sized models into the mix.

Another thing that would probably benefit the community at large is the introduction of a "pure server" mode like Q3. Basically, this would lock the models and skins, so that you cannot apply custom ones. Ok, this would take a bit of steam out the skinning community, but would prevent alot of cheats. Maybe a server side flag that could be turned on and off, so that you know the server your playing on will not allow things like the spiked models or the green/red skins.

Again, just a few ideas...

I think you can get female skins already, certainly there are some nude female hostage skins floating around.

As for the Voodoo models I thought that HL in general was now a lot stricter about models and how big they can be and such like, although I suppose people can still have bright green and red models to make then stand out.

Well, obviously there are female hostages, and yes...there are female armed tactical personnel.

Currently there are a few bugs in the CS engine that deals with hitboxes (things like when you duck, next to certain wall holding certain guns, you cannot be shot in the head etc). Adding female models could add a whole host of new bugs, relating to that problem. Personally, I would rather see them sort out the 8 models that are currently in the game, rather than add new ones.
Secondly, I'm guessing, but if female models were added to the game, they would be thinner/smaller than their male counterparts. Thinner = more difficult to hit (hitbox being smaller, or just more difficult to spot), and we would end up with a server full of players using female models.

I've said this before, they need to give me a special wand that I can run around with, and when a retard runs from spawn with his gun out, or stops dead in front of everyone causing a temporary blockage, I can whip the wand out, whack them with it, and they are instantly disconnected fromt he server, and their WON id banned on the main WON authentication servers.
