its new years eve and youve been invited to a party. your mother and father plan to go to another one. suddenly your mother is diagnosed with bacterial bronchitis. she tells ya dad to go to the party to chill out, and you do what ever your plans are.

do you-

a) you and your dad dont do anything. there has always been something wrong and as it is now this little infection could be more serious than you realise.

b) you goto your party, get drunk again and hopefully see her tomorrow.

c) you inject heroin and forget the universe exsists

d) something else.

I would take a) for sure, you and your Dad stay in and see the new year in with your Mum. I'm not sure how serious your Mum's condition is, but no one likes seeing in the new year alone.

I would stay with my parents if one of them had just been diagnosed with some kind of illness.

As it is, it looks like that myself anyway, so no partying for me this year :\ had a loss in the family two days ago and understandably my parents are pretty cut up about it still. To me its kinda underlined the fact that nothing and no-one lives forever, my parents wont be about forever so I dont begrudge spending time with them (or atleast I try not to :p).

Do what you think is right mate, but if you do go out partying try to make sure your mum has someone there to keep her company, like someone else said, spending new years alone isnt very nice.

Make sure yer mother has company, have some fun be it at home, or out, as long as yer parents are sorted.

bronchitis is a really common illness these days, can be serious, but most the time its anti-biotics+rest and right as rain within a week or so.

keep with your plans, I'm sure your dads got it sorted. If I was ill I know I wouldn't want people mithering me when all I want to do is pass out in my bed.

imo go out, your mum will likely feel like shit and just wanna go to bed anyway. But will feel guilty about keeping you home and stay up, making neither of you happy. But its your call, New Years is always over hyped anyway.

had a few when i posted what i did before, sorry about that. Imo leave for the party a little later then you'd intended to(maybe when she goes to bed), to show you still care enough for her to put your mum ahead of things you want to do..i'm sure your mum would do the same.
