Im a firm believer that men should wear the trousers in a relationship and not take any shit off their other half. If you let them get away with even the tiniest thing they will walk all over you and use you as a doormat (in my experience ofc). Out of my circle of close friends, the ones whos relationships always last the longest (including 4 marriages) are the ones who have the same philosphy as myself. The ones who let their girlfriends walk all over them invariably end up being dumped by them. Of course, im sure its different for others. Maybe im just a neanderthal! (sp)

What I think is, men should be men. More often than not these men in relationships, are appologetic, wimpy, under the thumb & all they do is make money to spend it on her.

Personally, i like doing sh*t for the girls i date. They need something, i get it. It makes them happy and every single f*cking person knows: Happy woman = happy times in the evening/noon and morning.

Hitch made me laugh and in the end its fucking right, being yourself is more important than trying to be someone else, this is the message Hitch sends out.

I am with Old on this one, if you go on a date treat the woman with respect, make her feel special it will only improve the relationship.

Me and my Wife have equal control in the relationship and it works great. She dont pester me, I dont pester her. If I want to know something I ask and she answers and vice versa.

I have found in my relationships that being honest goes along way to keeping things nice with your date/gf/partner.

And always be yourself if someone is trying to change you they obviously dont like you the way you are. It may take a while but you will find the one that makes you feel special.

Another important thing is communication if you dont talk about it it gets fooking worse. Shit man me and my wife talk shit all day long, and if I am being honest we really dont have anything in common apart from our love of one another. She hates my music, my food likes, my movies, my Tv, my computer. But she loves me and does not try and change me.

Totally agree. My wife knows that I enjoying Stephen time during this time she can feck off unless it is important, she also realises that just because she has planned to do something on her own this does not count as me using my own time, because I dont always want to do my shit when she is not around.
