Well, to be fair in about '95 I joined a metal band and turned into a pot-smoking alcoholic rocker and spent 5 nights a week in Corporation in Sheffield (back before they took over the old Unit nightclub and it went to shit). In fact, we played Self Esteem when we came out on stage for my first ever gig. :D

So White Zombie, Pantera, Machine Head, Metallica, Nirvana, Offspring, Greenday, Smashing Pumpkins (Zero is such an epic song), Iron Maiden, Dio and so on. Tool, Fear Factory, Pitchshifter, Powerman 5000, Pearl Jam, Pennywise, Motorhead, Sabbath...

Thing is everyone still remembers and loves those songs. A lot of the early 90s dance stuff was pretty good and no-one remembers it! :D

Good job I checked or I would have double posted Sadeness.

This is just the start of my list. I deliberately limited myself to "pop" for a couple of years or it would go on for ages.

Belinda Carlisle - (We Want) The Same Thing (1990)

Guns n Roses - You Could Be Mine (1991)

Why has nobody mentioned these?

YouTube - The Cult Sun King

I was born in the late 80's so couldn't experience them in their prime, but were they REALLY that underrated ? My favourite band that nobody has heard of
